I want to start doing yoga, but I have no clue where to begin! Any recommendations? We don’t have any centers or gyms that offer it.

This is so great!! Thanks for sharing all of these in one place.

Emily, I am a yoga instructor also and I highly recommend any yoga DVD’s by either Eoin Finn or Baron Baptiste. They are challenging but also uplifting, and the routines make you feel amazing afterward!

Good luck with your new-found yoga habit!

I’m also a runner and have tried yoga a couple times, but haven’t fallen for it like my friends have. I really like strength training and feel like yoga is a lot of stretching and kinda boring. Am I missing something? I’d love to get into it, but it hasn’t clicked for me yet. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

I am training for a half marathon do you have a plan as to how many days to run? What crossfit WODs to do? How many rest days?

    • Jen January 22, 2015, 7:48 pm

hey! i don’t have a specific plan but i generally try to run 3-4 days per week (1 easy, 1 tempo, 1 easy or mid-distance, 1 long), 2 strength sessions and at least one yoga/stretch. and try to get a full rest day in. you can double up your easy run/strength days. does that help?

I exercise early mornings a lot what do you suggest about pre-workout snack? Or if need one.

    • Jen June 23, 2017, 7:36 am

hey michelle – totally depends on the person. i wouldn’t eat a full breakfast but sometimes a banana, a bar or a date with nut butter can be helpful if you tend to feel lightheaded or like you just need something!
