Hello, hello! Turkey day is upon us and I know many of you are gearing up for a day of family, friends and food. I also know that many of you are like me and enjoy squeezing in a workout along with your holiday festivities.

I have pulled together some of my favorite bodyweight workouts that you can do with no equipment on Thanksgiving Day so that whether you’re at home, visiting family or traveling…you can get in a good sweat. I encourage you to recruit your family and friends to workout with you so everyone can have a healthy start to the day!

And let it be noted, if you’d rather skip working out on Thanksgiving and spend the day resting and focusing on togetherness and feasting…then that is perfect too. Remember, one day of being off of your normal routine doesn’t mean a thing when it comes to fitness and healthy eating…in fact…it’s healthy to be flexible that way! 🙂

Whatever you do, be sure to practice gratitude in whatever way that it feels best for you…whether that is your own quiet time of reflection, writing in a journal, doing a meditation or going around the table and sharing. <3

And now for those workouts…

THE RUNNING 500

The Running 500 is one from the archives…like circa 2014 (!!!)…but it’s a good one! Five rounds of 10 bodyweight exercises with a 400 meter run (0.25 miles) to kick off each round. You’ll end up with 500 reps and a little over a mile of running. Of course, you can increase the run distance if you want a little more.

COUPLES (OR PARTNER!) BURPEE WORKOUT

What better way to kick off Thanksgiving than burpees with a partner! 🙂 My Couples Burpee Workout features five different partner exercises along with a burpee challenge. Some friendly competition makes this workout extra fun!

TORCH THE TURKEY BODYWEIGHT WORKOUT

My Torch the Turkey Bodyweight Workout combines running with two circuits of bodyweight exercises for a total body burn!

30-MINUTE BOOTCAMP STYLE WORKOUT

My Bootcamp-Style Workout is a 30-minute workout where you do one minute of 10 different bootcamp-inspired movements. Rest for a minute or two and do it all again.

7-MINUTE AMRAPS WORKOUT

This HIIT-Style 7 Minutes AMRAP Workout is quick and intense!

SUMMER TABATA

Summer might be over but this 24-minute tabata workout will have you sweating like it’s 90 degrees out!

NOVEMBER WORKOUT PLAYLIST

And if you need some tunes to push you through, here is your November Workout Playlist! You can go follow it on Spotify.

Will you be working out on Thanksgiving?

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]
