Finn’s Recent Eats: 21 Months

It’s time for another installment of adventures in feeding Finn! 🙂

Here are previous posts for those of you who might have younger babes:

Our Journey Into Solids
Finn’s Recent Eats: 9 Months
Finn’s Recent Eats: One Year
Finn’s Recent Eats: 15 Months
Finn’s Recent Eats: 20 Months

Mealtimes with Finn are pretty fun these days. I don’t get stressed over what he does or doesn’t eat, he’s generally in a good and playful mood and he’s mostly past the stage of throwing food and dumping his plate over. Can we take a moment to appreciate the things that came with him to his high chair in this photo? 🙂

BREAKFAST

Dave’s Killer Bread thin-sliced sprouted whole grains with butter and cream cheese, cottage cheese scrambled eggs and orange slices.

Fage Total 5% plain greek yogurt with honey and peanut butter stirred in, cottage cheese scrambled eggs, a piece of Dave’s Killer thin-sliced white bread done right with butter and berries.

Oat pancake strips, cottage cheese scrambled eggs, Fage Total 5% with honey and a sliced strawberry.

Banana oatmeal with cottage cheese stirred in at the end.

ALDI sweet potato tots, cottage cheese scrambled eggs and oranges.

Dr. Praeger’s kale puffs, orange slices and cottage cheese scrambled eggs.

So…cottage cheese in every breakfast here but it’s such an easy add to eggs and oatmeal for some extra deliciousness and protein! Current favorite is Good Culture whole milk or double cream.

Also, Finn hasn’t really been a fan of fruit but this past month he’s been all about oranges…thus the reason you’ll see so many in this post!

LUNCH

Cheese quesadilla, animal crackers, grapes and deli turkey.

Cheese and crackers, orange slices, honey graham cookies, banana bread.

Graham crackers, a cheese stick, bananas, honey graham cookies, raisins and sweet potato tots.

Peanut butter and jelly rollup in a tortilla, orange slices, cheese slices, pea puff sticks and cheesy puffs.

Mac and cheese, peanut and date bar, fig bar, peanut butter mini crackers, orange slices.

Carrot maple oat banana bread, apple slices, cheese slices and pea puffs.

DINNER

Shrimp sautéed in butter, roasted parsnips, carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes, green beans and orange slices.

Homemade pepperoni pizza with sourdough crust, apple slices and mixed veggies with butter.

Shrimp sautéed in butter, ALDI sweet potato tots, berries and roasted brussels.

Grilled cheese on Dave’s Killer thin-sliced white done right, turkey roll ups and apple slices.

Dr. Praeger Kale Puffs, buttered rice, homemade beef meatballs and strawberries.

Same meatballs and white rice with strawberries and avocado.

Dr. Praeger’s rice-crusted fishies, white rice with butter and mixed veggies.

And that brings us to the end of Finn’s eats at 21 months. I have a lot of goals around things that I want to cook for him and introduce him to but I am not putting too much pressure on myself (or him!) to make it happen. I think things are progressing as well as I could hope. Finn is happy and healthy and that’s all that I can ask. <3

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]
