Good morning.

My 6 a.m. yoga class was sloooooowwww this morning. I couldn’t figure out where everyone was until we broke for core work and I commented on the low attendance and my students reminded me about the NCAA basketball championship. Apparently most of Charlotte (and the state of NC!) stayed up late last night watching the Tarheels take home the championship (for the 6th time!).

I never stop at Starbucks after class but I decided to treat myself to a latte today. 🙂

I’ll be heading back to the studio to teach at 11:15 a.m. and the rest of my day is working on some blog post projects, getting our previous home 100% cleared out (today is the last day of our lease), selling a few more pieces of furniture there (I’ve been working Facebook Marketplace like a crazy lady…highly recommend selling stuff there!), getting my hair colored and teaching at the Y tonight.

Before I tackle that list of to-do’s, here is your workout playlist for the week and a recap of last week’s workouts.

This Week’s Workout Playlist

And here is a link to the playlist on Spotify.

Last Week’s Workouts

Monday: 3 mile walk with the girls

Tuesday: 5.3 mile run at 9:30ish pace (it was a beautiful sunset run with the scenery you see above)

Wednesday: Hot yoga

Thursday: 4 mile run in the rain

Friday: Lift + 45 minute walk

500 meter row + dynamic warm up

5 rounds:
10 banded back squats to a box and back up
10 push ups
5 strict pull ups

3 rounds:
15 wall balls
15 tricep dips on a box
15 kettlebell romanian deadlifts
15 box jumps

3 rounds:
20 weighted walking lunges (10 steps each side, holding two kettlebells)
20 supine toes to bar
20 weighted walking lunges
15 dumbbell bicep curls

Here’s a video of the first set of work.

Love those box squats!

Saturday: FlyWheel + 3 mile hike with the girls

Sunday: 5 mile run at 8:30ish pace

Two final things.

  1. I love running in the rain (as long as it’s not cold or thundering/lightening). I put my phone in a plastic bag and zone out to music. It’s so meditative and peaceful.
  2. I can freaking never remember my workouts from the week before and have to rack my brain and go through my phone to try to remember! 😛

Do you like running in the rain?

Can you remember your workouts from the week before?

Did you watch the NCAA National Championship?

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]
