Welcome Finn!

Happy weekend everyone! BABY BOY IS HERE!

Meet Finn! He was born on Friday at 4:36 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19.75 inches long. He has a headful of brown hair!

My water broke the night before I was scheduled to be induced. I labored for 14 hours before baby boy was born. Labor and delivery was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, both emotionally and physically, but 100% worth it to get to the other side with this little guy in my arms.

We are in the hospital and should be heading home Monday morning. I’m recovering slowly but feeling good overall. Finn is doing really well and we’re getting a great start to breastfeeding. The support from the nurses at the hospital has been truly incredible on every level. They are amazing.

I’ll be writing a full birth story to share with you soon but for now I’m off to enjoy lots of baby cuddles, visits from family and friends, rest and trying to figure out where these beautiful lips came from! <3

I can’t say thank you enough for all of the love and support that you guys have shown towards me and baby Finn over the course of my pregnancy. I’m so overjoyed to be on the other side and to continue to share this journey with you!

Love,
Jen

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]
