Friday Photos

Happy Friday. I didn’t mean to check-out on you guys yesterday but when I opened my laptop last night and navigated to the new post page, I just didn’t have any words to share. So I closed it and watched Netflix instead. 😉

I keep intending to write my final fourth trimester recap post but I just haven’t been able to get myself in the right head/heartspace yet to do so.

I’m going to keep today’s post light with some photos to share from the week.

Sometimes Zoey gets a little jealous of Finn. Haha. She’s never far away!

Bathtime is the best time. MY HEART!

My mom is a member of Sam’s Club so we made an outing one day to pick up a few things. They had really great prices on three-piece Carter’s outfits so we got a few things in six-month size. I can’t believe I’m buying clothes that big now. Ahhhh.

I really like these PJs from Nordstrom. They have really cute footed PJs. And Finn loves holding this little puppy blanket. It’s the sweetest thing.

My mom left yesterday and we were very sad to say goodbye. I’m hoping to get back to Florida again before teacher training starts and I’m traveling all the time.

Speaking of teacher training, it’s been REALLY nice to get back to work in a capacity other than my blog. I have been working on organizing the syllabus for the training as well as writing the manual. I can’t believe we start in a little over a month! There is so much work to do to prepare but I’m so grateful for it.

I got to squeeze in a workout yesterday and it was my first one of the week. I went for a four-mile run and then did a quick 20-minute unilateral strength workout at Metro. Details on Instagram.

The run felt truly amazing. Probably my best postpartum run yet. I think that was partly due to the incredible weather and low humidity. I felt like a new person after that run + lift.

Oh, and always fun to see yourself while you’re out on a run. 🙂 (I was 13 or 14 weeks pregnant in that shot!!!!)

One of my friends is in temporary housing while her house undergoes some renovations so she invited Dorie and me up to the rooftop of her apartment complex to hang out last night. There was a full view of the skyline and the weather was perfect. We chatted for a couple of hours and passed the baby around. It was great to catch up with my girlfriends.

And I can’t talk about this gorgeous weather enough! It got down in the 50s last night and was just 65 degrees for our walk this morning. All of us had a little extra pep in our step, especially Sullie! I am SO READY for cooler mornings and nights to be the norm. But first…we’re back in the 90s again all week next week. Such is life in the south!

That is all! I hope y’all enjoy the weekend.

Are you a member of Sam’s or Costco? Favorite things to buy there?

Favorite place to buy baby clothes?

If you’re a mom, what was/is your favorite time of day with baby?

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]

Goodbye Sweet Zoey

I am sitting down to write this post with teary eyes and a heavy heart. On New Year’s Eve we said goodbye to Zoey. It seems like only yesterday that I brought this fluffy nugget home. Many of you have been here with me since Zoey was a puppy. She was the sweetest little sister [...]
