I have a fun round up of fitness products to share with you today along with a workout that puts some of them to good use!

BabbleBoxx Fall Into Fitness Review

I recently received a “Fall Into Fitness” box from BabbleBoxx.com with some products that I was excited to give a try. I’m going to tell you a little more about each of them and then we’ll get to the workout details! I tested the workout for you and it’s a sweaty one.

TIGER BALM ACTIVE MUSCLE SPRAY

Tiger Balm Spray

Okay, I have been a big fan of Tiger Balm for years and always keep a jar of it in my bathroom drawer so I was pumped to discover that they make a spray version. If you’re unfamiliar with Tiger Balm, it’s a muscle pain reliever that features methyl salicylate, camphor and menthol as its active ingredients. You can use it 3-4 times a day to relieve symptoms from things like muscle aches, sprains, strains and sore muscles.

I personally find it so nice to use on sore back and neck muscles. Another tip is to use it after getting a good deep tissue massage or after a stretchy yoga practice. I have used it sparingly while breastfeeding (mostly because I want to be super careful that none of it accidentally rubs off on Finn) but it is a product that I love. The spray version makes application so easy and is perfect for hard to reach spots.

AFTERSHOKZ TREKZ AIR

AfterShokz Trekz Air Headphones

I am obsessed with these headphones. Where do I even start!? The most amazing thing about them is that they don’t actually go in your ear. They are open-ear headphones that deliver music through your cheekbones using bone conduction technology. This means that your ears remain completely open to hear ambient sounds. This is an INCREDIBLE advancement for safety! Just think about how ideal this is for everyone from cyclists to runners to students walking around on campus to people out in cities walking alone.

AfterShokz Trekz Air Headphones

The AfterShokz Trekz Air headphones feature complete wraparound titanium in their design to give a flexible, comfortable and stable fit.

They are wireless and use bluetooth connectivity to your phone or music device. One charge lasts about 6 hours.

Now, I’m sure you’re curious about the sound. I have to admit, I don’t know how they do it but it totally works. It was a little weird to have my ears totally open but to hear music playing clearly but I really liked it. It feels so much safer for running outside!

Get $55 OFF with code BABBLE if you order these headphones by November 1, 2018.

GO COMFORT INSOLES

GO Comfort Insoles

Would you believe that I’ve NEVER used insoles in my shoes before!? The timing of receiving these insoles from GO Comfort was perfect because ever since I had Finn, I’ve experienced a ton of tightness and tenderness on my left foot at the base of my big toe down into my arch. I am terrified that it’s going to turn into plantar fasciitis so I’m eager to see if these insoles help.

They sent me three varieties of insoles, All Day, Athletic and Work. Each are designed to relieve arch, heel and low back pain. The All Day insoles provide 18+ hour comfort. The Work insoles have anti-fatigue support for concrete and hard surfaces. Finally, the Athletic insoles feature max shock absorption for high-impact activities.

I tested the Athletic insoles and found them to be comfortable and supportive. My shoes felt perfectly normal and I couldn’t even tell that I’d switched the insole (I mean that in a good way!).

Get 20% off + free shipping with code GOcomfortBB20 if you order Go Comfort Insoles by December 31, 2018.

CELSIUS SPARKLING KIWI GUAVA

Celsius Energy Drink

I had to smile when I received a can of CELSIUS in my box. When I used to work at Metro, we sold CELSIUS and so many of our trainers and members were totally hooked on it. It was the go-to energy drink even before coffee!

CELSIUS’ proprietary MetaPlus formula includes green tea with EGCG, ginger and guarana seed. It boosts thermogenesis and in turn boosts your body’s metabolic rate. The drink contains no HFCS, aspartame, preservatives or artificial colors/flavors. It does contain seven essential vitamins.

It’s not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing (mostly due to the caffeine content) but you better believe I’ll be hanging onto this can for later!

Visit their website to learn more about CELSIUS!

GO FOR A RUN DRIVEWAY WORKOUT

bodyweight workout

I was so eager to put the AfterShokz Trekz Air headphones to the test with a running and bodyweight workout to try out the sound and their staying power/comfort. I also wanted to try out the GO Comfort Insoles. Both totally exceeded my expectations…as did this workout. It was a great but tough one!

The workout is programmed so that you have runs decreasing in length each round and bodyweight exercises decreasing in reps each round. A few notes for clarity…

  • The bicycle crunches are right/left = one rep. So count one rep each time you bicycle both knees in.
  • For the alternating curtsy lunges, each lunge counts as a rep. So in round one you’ll do 15 total on each leg.
  • Jump lunge burpees are one jump lunge with right leg and then left leg and then pop back for a burpee. Fun, right!?

I’ll post a video of the movements on Instagram! 🙂
