What I Ate In a Day

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Silk. The opinions and text are all mine.

Eating with a baby can be quite the challenge between finding the time for a meal, prepping the food and sitting down to eat it.

This bouncer seat is a huge lifesaver! I keep it in the kitchen and Finn will happily hang out in it for quite a while. It vibrates and plays music and it also helps to give him a paci or something to hold on to. I mainly use the bouncer in the mornings while I’m making coffee and breakfast and in the evenings while I’m throwing something together for dinner.

The funniest thing is that Finn seems to know exactly when it’s time for me to eat the food I have prepared so I usually end up holding him and eating one-handed. 🙂

Here is what a full day of eats with a baby is looking like over here lately.

WHAT I ATE IN A DAY

Silk Almondmilk Yogurt Alternative

9 a.m. – Silk Almondmilk Vanilla Yogurt Alternative with bananas, raspberries, blueberries, chia seeds and fig, walnut and tahini granola.

I am eating dairy these days (as you know from all the ice cream that’s been happening around here) but I always keep almond milk in my fridge and I was excited to try this new Almondmilk Yogurt Alternative from Silk. It has similar nutrition to dairy yogurt with 5 grams of protein and live and active cultures. It’s super creamy, dairy and lactose free and has no artificial colors or flavors.

I know so many of you either avoid dairy or also like to incorporate non-dairy products into your diet so I knew you’d be interested in learning about this Almondmilk yogurt alternative from Silk. I loved the vanilla flavor. They also offer peach, strawberry, dark chocolate (YUM), plain and mixed berry acai.

If you want to try out Silk’s Almondmilk yogurt alternative, here’s a link to a coupon! And here’s a link that will help you with where to buy.

1:30 p.m. – I almost always snack on some sort of chips or pretzels while I’m preparing lunch. I end up eating at least one serving if not two while doing my meal prep.

My lunch this day was avocado, bacon, tomatoes and mayo on a bialy. It was my first time trying bialy and I really liked it!

And after lunch I had the remains of a slice of carrot cake from the fridge. Cake has been such a staple in my diet since pregnancy. I think I have some sort of cake or cupcake 2-3 days per week (and ice cream on the off days……).

7:30 p.m.  – A frozen meat lasagna from Pasta & Provisions, shared with a friend. Salad on the side. I ate this portion of lasagna and salad + another serving of both that was the same size as the first. I have really been trying to up my portions with breastfeeding.

9 p.m. – I drank a cup of Mother’s Milk hot tea in bed as I was winding down for the night.

Do you snack while preparing meals?

Favorite ways to eat yogurt? Plain? With fruit? With granola? Any other creative uses for me!?

And don’t forget to download the coupon and try the Silk Almondmilk Yogurt Alternative!
