This week I am emerging from the longest hiatus I have ever taken from yoga, both teaching and practicing. I haven’t taught a yoga class in over four months. My final class before maternity leave was on May 16 at 41 weeks pregnant. I have practiced intermittently but nothing that resembles a consistent, dedicated practice.

This little guy has kind of rocked my world in the best of ways. I’m grateful that I was able to step away from teaching yoga for four full months to focus my attention on being his mom…because that is truly the most important job that I have right now. And while I wish I could be practicing more frequently, it’s a challenge to fit in attending an actual studio class and home practices are often cut short for mommy duty.

This week marks my return to teaching yoga. I’m going from teaching no classes for four months to six in one week! I am subbing three classes at the Y this week and kicking off my 200-hour yoga teacher training in Kingsport, Tennessee this weekend.

To celebrate (and to dust off the cobwebs!!!) I thought I would record and share a power yoga class here on my blog! Keep reading for more details on that and a video of a full 35-minute practice.

DISCOVERING YOUR DEODORANT AT CVS

Fall Yoga Flow

Switching gears, let’s talk about something else that has changed since becoming a mom…my deodorant needs! You might remember that in one of my fourth trimester updates I shared that I was having a little issue with smelliness. My hormones over the summer were in OVERDRIVE and I had to switch to a clinical formula deodorant.

Dry Spray Deodorant

Things seem to be regulating a bit now so I’m making a switch back to a dry spray deodorant for the fall/winter.

The Dove Dry Spray Cool Essentials is an antiperspirant infused with cucumber and green tea fragrance. Some of its benefits include:

  • Up to 48-hour antiperspirant protection
  • Sprays on dry
  • No alcohol formula that helps reduce skin irritation
  • Formula is one-fourth moisturizers for soft and smooth underarms
Dry Spray Deodorant

And the Degree Sheer Powder Dry Spray features innovative Motionsense technology that uses microcapsules that sit on your skin and give bursts of fragrance as you move. Other benefits include:

  • No visible residue
  • 48-hour protection
  • Fragrance of freesia, jasmine and vanilla
  • Alcohol-free

Whether you’re like me and your needs are changing due to babies and hormones or you’re just super active and feeling sweaty or smelly, finding the right deodorant can feel like a never-ending search and you might settle for okay.

I turn to Unilever deodorants from CVS to help me narrow down my ideal deodorant. They offer dry sprays, antiperspirants, clinical deodorants and more. Bonus…they are offering GREAT savings right now on your purchase of select Dove, Degree and AXE deodorants.

FALL POWER YOGA FLOW

Fall Power Yoga Flow

And now for the yoga flow! Here is a 35-minute class where I demo and talk you through the practice. It’s a power yoga flow. Some previous yoga experience is helpful but not required. After all, you’re probably doing this in the comfort of your own home so have fun with it!

The flow doesn’t have music because I didn’t want you to get sick of listening to the same music if you do it multiple times! You can follow me on Spotify and match one of the hundreds of playlists I have over there to the flow!

Let me know if you try the flow and if you have feedback! Thanks for stopping by today and for all of your love and support.

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]
