Catching Up

This week passed in a flash and I feel like I haven’t really had a chance to catch up with you guys. My days have been busy with Finn but also with my return to teaching yoga, blog projects and putting the finishing touches on the materials for the first weekend of my 200-hour yoga teacher training. The training starts on Friday and I am very excited to meet the group and get things kicked off! I’m feeling lots of butterflies but in the best way.

A few photos from the week…

Two things to note here. 1) Finn wore jeans for the first time on Monday! They are from Gymboree and I personally think he looked ridiculously cute. 2) I attribute his holding on to mom and fretful face to the fact that we were at the doctor for his 4 month shots. He did okay after them…a little fussy on and off…and we were up in the middle of the night with a fever. Luckily, he was back to normal by Tuesday.

Zoey loves all the baby things. She is constantly lying on his play mats and stealing his Wubanubs and toys. One day she even tried to curl up in the DockATot like it was a dog bed. Haha.

I baked sourdough today, I gifted one loaf to a friend and kept one for myself. I always eat that first fresh slice with butter or butter and jam. YUM.

Lots of walking with the crew.

Okay, Binxy Baby sent me one of their baby shopping hammocks and I am obsessed. Finn loves it too. We got SO many comments on it in Whole Foods today. It’s so much better than lugging the car seat in because a) Finn has freedom to look around and is more entertained and b) I have space for my groceries in my cart!

I was at Whole Foods to pick up some groceries for this weekend. I booked a room with a mini-fridge and a microwave so that I can eat/pack meals in my room. I am taking Finn with me so I don’t want to be driving around looking for food on my lunch breaks or after long days of training. I did a ton of food prep tonight and have everything ready to go! I also picked up lots of snacky stuff. 🙂

A chocolate, pretzel and salted caramel cupcake in bed tonight. I am still brushing crumbs out of the sheets! Oops.

I hope y’all have had a great week. I cannot wait to share details with you on my first teacher training weekend. I can’t believe I am finally leading my own 200-hour! Please send me lots of good vibes.

Tell me one good/happy thing about your week.

Do you ever pack food for work travel?

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]
