Do-Si-Do or Samoas?

Hello and happy Friday. I’m happy to report that my pace of life has slowed WAY down since the last time we chatted. I’m also happy that it’s currently 58 degrees outside and sunny and tomorrow is going to be 62! As soon as Finn wakes up from his nap we are going to head out for a walk. I also have plans to hit up a Girl Scout Cookie drive through that’s open at a nearby church from 4-6p and I think I might finally watch the Fyre documentary that everyone has been talking about tonight.

I thought it would be fun to wrap up the week on a lighthearted note with some random things to share and Friday faves.

BABY BUMS

Since I just mentioned Finn napping (naps have been better this week, thank goodness!), I have to share this photo. I sent it to Virginia and her first comment back was that she wanted a thermal one-piece. Why do babies always have the coziest looking clothes!?

I’ve heard from so many friends that their babies also sleep like this…on their knees with butt up in the air. I think it’s so stinking cute and I couldn’t get over his crossed ankles on this day!

HOPE HUMMUS

Hope Foods Hummmus

This isn’t the first time I’ve shared about HOPE Foods hummus. I love the texture of their hummus as well as the unique and super flavorful option. The Thai Coconut Curry flavor is delicious!

WISE WORDS

Let Them Judge You

Goodness, I shared this quote on my PBR Facebook page this week it was liked and shared so much. It make sense to me that it resonated with so many people as I feel that judgement is something that we are constantly inundated with. If you’d like to do more work/reading/digging on this topic, I recommend reading The Four Agreements and Judgement Detox.

SPARKLY SODA WATER

Waterloo Sparkling Water

Have you tried the Waterloo brand of sparkling water yet? I’ve been seeing it around a lot and finally picked up a case when it was on sale last week. Lime is definitely my default sparkling soda flavor and this might be my favorite that I’ve tried yet!

DOGGY DENTAL TREATS

Whimzees Dental Dog Chews The team at Whimzees offered to send some of their dental treats for Sullie and Zoey and needless to say, the girls think they’re the best ever!!! Whimzees are made with natural ingredients and are vegetarian, grain free and GMO free. They have a special shape that is supposed to help remove tarter and plaque. I’ll letcha know if their teeth are sparkly clean after we make it through both bags.

Also, can we talk about how dirty Zoey is? I would love to hear if you guys have any favorite brushes for very hairy dogs.

COOKIES!!!

girl scout cookiesFun fact. I was a Girl Scout for many, many years and even worked as a counselor for the Girl Scout summer camp that I attended as a child for two years as a college student. (Then I worked at Camp Wayfarer in Flat Rock, NC for three summers. Being a camp counselor is THE BEST EVER and I’m so glad I did that instead of internships!)

So I feel like it’s my duty to support the Girl Scouts and buy their cookies! I will definitely get Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos (gimme all the peanut butter) and probably a box of Thin Mints. I know everyone goes crazy over Samoas but they are not my favorite. I mean, I won’t turn one down but I like some of the others better.

There’s also a local Boy Scout trip doing their annual barbecue fundraiser this weekend right across the street from the Girl Scout cookie sale. I could make it a whole night of supporting the scouts! 🙂

Okay…Finn is awake and it’s time to go for that walk.

Have the best weekend friends!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]
