Pizza Weekend

I made a menu plan for the week and went to Trader Joe’s this evening to prepare myself to execute said menu plan…and then I got home and skipped the first dinner that I was going to cook tonight in favor of leftover frozen pizza.

Tomorrow I am going to get serious about it. The plan for the week is simple: a shrimp pasta dish, meatloaf and pork chops. The other nights will be leftovers or out.

As for the weekend recap…

Friday was so rainy. I spent the afternoon camped out at Whole Foods drinking the most delicious turmeric latte (100% my favorite new coffee drink) and then took a class at VIBE5 before picking up Finn from hanging out with his dad for a bit. We swung into Harris Teeter on the way home for a frozen pizza and ice cream. I really wanted to make my own pizza but it was 6p and their dough was frozen so that wasn’t going to happen. After a quick phone consult with my dad (who is a frozen pizza expert) while standing in the frozen section, I ended up with a California Pizza Kitchen Sicilian Pizza.

Harris Teeter had Talenti buy one, get one, so I had to stock up! I bought Raspberry Cheesecake, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup.

Along with a glass of red wine, it was pretty much a perfect Friday night! I also started the Gaga 5’2 documentary on Netflix but did not love it.

Saturday morning was super chill. Finn was up early…around 6:30 a.m. which meant that he was down for his morning nap by 9.

He woke up in great spirits but I noticed that he was cutting his SEVENTH tooth! Can you believe it!?

The afternoon was full of subbing a yoga class, a meeting to help some friends with a yoga project they are working on, a trip to the gym to workout and a stop into Lululemon (Align pants for life).

Dinner that night was leftover quinoa, roasted cauliflower and braised red cabbage with two pan sautéed chicken sausages.

I spent Saturday night taking a hot bath, eating carrot cake and doing an online infant feeding class from Feeding Littles.

Sunday morning snuggles with my girls. Followed by subbing another yoga class.

This afternoon we went for a walk with Virginia and Stella.

The post-walk scene with three dogs and Finn was pretty amazing. (And this is totally Finn’s signature move!)

The rest of Sunday looked like Trader Joes and hanging out with Finn at home. It was lovely.

Tonight was a redo of Friday night. It was just simple but delicious. Cooking will happen tomorrow! 🙂

So sleepy. Time for bed.

What did you do over the weekend?

Favorite frozen pizza brands? Favorite Talenti flavor?
