Raise the Bar Dumbbell Workout

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jack Link’s. All opinions are 100% mine.

Today’s post is all about #RaisingTheBar on two things: 1) your average snack bar and 2) your average dumbbell workout. I’m here to tell you all about an awesome new savory, real foods snack bar + to share a compound dumbbell movement workout. I know you’re going to love both so let’s dive in!

I am partnering with Jack Link’s to bring you this post and this partnership was my first time interacting with the Jack Link’s brand. They are a family-owned and operated protein snacking company that produces high-quality meat snacks made from lean cuts of 100% beef, turkey and chicken. The products taste great and they offer flavors ranging from savory to sweet to spicy and everything in between.

After sampling some of their products and interacting with their branding, I can confidently say that I’m now a fan. Their Instagram feed is full of smart humor. I especially love the pumpkin spice jerky post and the fashion week post.

Jack Link’s recently rolled out these new 100% Beef Bars that are packaged as a typical snack bar. I like several things about them.

  • 70 calories and 8 grams of protein.
  • Real ingredients. The bars are made with 100% beef and the ingredients list is short.
  • Available in two flavors: Original and Teriyaki. The Original Beef Strips are seasoned with Jack Link’s signature blend of original spices and smoked over hardwoods. The Teriyaki Beef Bars are seasoned with classic Teriyaki spices.
  • Only 6 grams of sugar in both flavors. That is much less than many other snack bars.
  • Savory snack option, which is hard to find in the snack bar category.
  • Gluten-free. No added MSG, nitrates or nitrites.

You can find Jack Link’s 100% Beef Bars at Target. They are located in the nutritional bar aisle and packaged in multi-pack boxes.

If you’re a jerky or savory snack fan, I think you’ll love these new beef bars from Jack Link’s! They’re an awesome real food snack to keep in your gym bag, car, purse, desk drawer, etc.

RAISE THE BAR DUMBBELL WORKOUT

I’m raising the bar in this dumbbell workout by creating compound and combo dumbbell movements. I am putting 2-3 exercises together in each movement to give you an efficient and challenging total body strength workout. I can assure you that this workout will keep your heart pumping along with working your muscles! You can always count on compound movements to up the cardio game!

The workout consists of five compound/combo dumbbell movements. Each movement is done for one minute before moving to the next. Repeat for 3-5 rounds, depending on how much volume you want to do and how much time you want to spend.

RAISE THE BAR DUMBBELL WORKOUT VIDEO

Here is a video where I am demoing each of the five movements.

I am a big fan of compound and combo movements and use them all the time in my classes and my own workouts. I think you’ll find them to be fun but challenging!

I hope you enjoy this workout. As always, let me know if you have questions and your feedback is always welcome.

QUESTIONS

Are you a savory or sweet snacker?

Do you ever eat jerky-type snacks?

Favorite compound dumbbell movement? Mine is either squat to press or deadlift to upright row!
