This is a sponsored post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

The transition into a new decade is one that has felt significant for me. When I reflect back on the last 10 years of my life, I kind of wonder how I’m still standing. While I am (mostly) kidding with that last statement, the last decade brought a tremendous amount of change, loss and growth to my life.

While I don’t want to dedicate too much time dwelling on the past, I do want to be intentional about extracting what the lessons were and how I can implement them into the next 10 years of life.

Over the next few weeks, I am going to be sharing a series of posts that are focused on 10 year goals. The topics will be as follows:

  1. Fitness, Health and Wellness Goals
  2. Career Goals
  3. Personal, Friendship and Family Goals

I’m going to kick off this series with fitness, health and wellness goals because I think that feeling good in your body and mind is key to living the life you want to live. Our health is everything. <3

Health is Everything

Before I get into my specific goals, I want to share with you a supplement that I have been taking that supports healthy energy levels, organ function, mental focus and overall well-being.

MitoQ supplement

MitoQ is a supplement that is the first of its kind to support mitochondrial health. I had been hearing so much about in podcasts that I listen to recently so I was excited when this partnership came my way.

First, let’s talk about what exactly mitochondrial health means.

    • Mitochondria are tiny power plants that can be found in almost all of our trillions of cells. They combine the food we eat with the oxygen we breathe and turn this into the fuel our cells need to work properly.
    • When we are young and healthy, our mitochondria are super efficient and can give our cells all of the energy that they need. Think of this as being able to fall down and easily get back up and the ability to recover quickly from injury and illnesses.
    • Our mitochondria can start to decline in function naturally as we age. Studies suggest that from the age of 30, the rate of decline is as much as 10% per decade. Yikes.

So how can MitoQ help?

  • MitoQ delivers an enhanced form of the CoQ10 antioxidant to support your body to have healthy energy levels, optimal organ function, mental focus, resilience and kinder aging. CoQ10 is exclusively produced by the mitochondria and essential for our well-being, but our bodies make fewer of them as we age.
  • MitoQ is the first supplement of its kind and the most significant advance in antioxidant technology to help with improving energy levels and slowing the aging process.
  • To date, there have been over 90 different health-related studies about MitoQ and it’s also been studied in several clinical trials with more underway. MitoQ has been published in over 400 peer-reviews articles for its potential to support sustained quality of life.

Interesting stuff, right!? If you want to dive deeper,  you can read more here.

People that take MitoQ supplements report a return of their energy, endurance and energy times. Many have also reported less stress, better sleep, better focus and an overall improvement in well-being. As a working single mom to a busy toddler, SIGN ME UP FOR THAT! 🙂

I will be sharing a follow up about my results with MitoQ in the upcoming months. If you’d like to try it out with me, you can order MitoQ 5mg here.

10 year fitness, health and wellness goals

My 10 Year Fitness, Health and Wellness Goals

This is an excellent segue into my 10 year fitness, health and wellness goals because they are all about taking the best care of my body that I possibly can. I am 36 and definitely finding that while I feel youthful and good in my body, I can’t push it as hard as I once could and I have to be so much more mindful about rest and recovery.

  • FITNESS: continue to exercise intuitively and maintain a balanced mix of cardiovascular exercise (running for as long as my body lets me!), strength training and mobility/flexibility work.
  • FITNESS: workout smarter, not harder. I have really been examining the volume and intensity of my workouts and thinking about how I can do less to get more benefit. My main goal with this is keeping my body as healthy as possible without unnecessary wearing down, especially given my career field.
  • FITNESS: keep walking! One of the greatest gifts of pregnancy (besides Finn, of course) was falling in love with walking. It’s such a calming and grounding way to move my body and makes me feel so good.
  • FITNESS: incorporate more bodywork therapies into my “maintenance routine” through things like massage, Acupuncture, active release therapy, chiropractic, etc.
  • HEALTH + WELLNESS: prioritize taking time for taking care of my heart, mind, spirit and soul! MEDITATION, journaling, inspirational/reflective reading, breathing practices.
  • HEALTH + WELLNESS: continue to prioritize mental health. Continue therapy as needed.
  • HEALTH + WELLNESS: cook healthy and nutritious food at home (and post more recipes online!). Buy as much food locally as possible to support local farmers and the environment. I really want to type here that I’m going to eat less sugar but I don’t know if I really mean it. 😛
  • HEALTH + WELLNESS: be super duper mindful about screen time. Set social media boundaries as necessary. One idea I have is implementing one day off-line per week with zero computer, social media or TV. Lofty goal but I kind of like the idea of it!
  • HEALTH + WELLNESS: take actionable steps to lessen the footprint that I am having on this planet with improved sustainability practices. (This needs its own post.)
  • HEALTH + WELLNESS: continue to be diligent and proactive about my health through regular checks with dermatologist, OBGYN, dentist, etc.

I have many other things to share but a lot of them will fall into that “personal, friends and family” category so we’ll pick up there soon!

10 year fitness, health and wellness goals

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I welcome you to join me in trying out MitoQ and seeing how it can support us in feeling our best.

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks!
