Hey guys! I hope you’ve enjoyed Friday and that your weekend is off to a good start. Mine certainly is – I had great day at work and yoga teacher training tonight was fun and relaxing.
Big news – I finally ran today! Sullie and I knocked out and easy (freezing cold) three miles before work. Breakfast was overnight oats at my desk and I came home for lunch to eat and prep for tonight’s teacher training.
Great Harvest Whole Grain Goodness with hummus and mashed avocado. Carrots and pear slices on the side.
So I work for an advertising agency and every year we have a staff meeting where we recognize the outstanding work from the previous year. The whole agency votes on what we think is deserving of recognition. The meeting was so much fun and it’s awesome to see all of the work that has come out of our agency. I am so lucky to work with such insanely talented and creative people.
After our staff meeting I headed to the yoga studio for weekend three (of eight) of teacher training. We started out with an ashtanga practice and my everything was feeling good tonight. I may have the opportunity to start working on second series this weekend which completely amazes and humbles me. I cannot believe that my teacher thinks that I’m ready. I am excited to take this next step.
After practice we settled in to finish “What The Bleep Do We Know.”
But before we started the movie we had a little birthday celebration. Cake, wine and a movie on a Friday night? I will take it!
Only at Y2 Yoga is cake and vino part of the teacher training curriculum! 😉 I love it!
I have to brag on Brandon for a minute. He has been so wonderful and supportive since I started teacher training. He’s had dinner waiting for me every Friday night after training. Tonight’s dinner was the best yet! He grilled a steak for him and salmon for me.
Brandon went to EarthFare and picked up a bone-in ribeye for himself and wild sockeye salmon for me. He made spinach with garlic, panko and parmesan, grilled mushrooms and bread with olive oil dipping sauce on the side.

Everything was soooo good. I am lucky to have a husband who is not only thoughtful but also a good cook!
Do any of you have significant others who like to cook? What is their specialty? I would say that Brandon’s specialty is homemade pizza and anything on the grill. Yum!
