Who else has major marathon fever after today’s Boston Marathon? I absolutely loved that my Twitter feed was full of Boston updates and that the blog world was abuzz with support for all of the runners.
Qualifying for Boston is definitely something that doesn’t seem to be in the realm of possibility for me right now and I can’t even imagine how awesome it would be to run it! That said, I have a really serious race bug right now that needs to be satisfied. I spent all morning researching half and full marathons. I was hoping to find a half in June but no luck here in the South (due to the heat). It seems like the earliest I’ll be able to run one is September. I’ve got my eye on the Asheville Citizen Times Half Marathon and am debating a fall marathon in October/November.
I just need some of this in my life…
BAD. Ready to run! 😀
I taught BodyPump before work this morning. The past two Monday mornings have been fun – class has been more crowded than usual. There is nothing like 20+ smiling faces to motivate me to work hard!
Breakfast at my desk was banana blueberry oatmeal. Oats, bananas, blueberries, chia seeds, dried cranberries, cinnamon, pinch salt, almond milk and water. Topped with almond butter and rhubarb jam.
Lunch was the return of the tofu sandwich. My favorite!
Trader Joe’s Hot Sweet Mustard, avocado, tofu, spinach and pepper jack on a whole wheat bagel thin. Trader Joe’s Ginger Cats, honey pretzel sticks and carrots on the side. So happy to have this sandwich back in the lunch rotation this week.
I was planning on attending a hot class tonight because I haven’t practiced since Friday. Near the end of the day I received a call from the teacher asking if I could teach the class I was planning on attending. I happily agreed because I will take any and every opportunity I can get right now to get experience teaching.
Class was wonderful and I was so excited that Brandon was able to make it. I loved having him there. 😛
Dinner was a delicious old favorite – Fish Tacos with Baja Cream. I love this dinner and told Brandon that it needs to be on regular rotation this summer. Fish tacos are just so delicious and a perfect warm weather dinner. We had black beans with onion and jalapeno on the side.
Off to bed so that I can be up and ’em for an early ashtanga practice tomorrow. I have a big day tomorrow and a fun meeting planned. Details to come!
