Party Pretty – Social Dress Shop Giveaway

I love doing giveaways on Mondays. I think it’s a great way to brighten up the day and get the week started…especially when we can do that with pretty dresses! I mentioned that I attended the launch party for my sweet friend Sarah’s new online dress boutique, Social Dress Shop. And can we take a minute to appreciate her cute tagline, Party Pretty?

The launch party was a “pop-up shop” where we got to see the dresses live and in person but her boutique will be an online store. Despite the fact that everything will be done via the Internet, you can always expect a very personal shopping experience…Sarah is very hands on and selects all of the dresses that she carries herself. She’s making regular trips to NYC to choose her collection and is always available to help match clients with the perfect dress for their occasion. Priority 2-3 day shipping is always free because let’s face it…it’s easy to wait until the last minute to select an outfit for a special occasion. Also, each package includes sparkly gift wrap and a special message, since getting a package in the mail should feel like a present!

I am so excited to support Sarah and host this giveaway. I can’t tell you how many conversations Sarah and I have had over the past couple of years about figuring out where we want to go in life and pursuing our passions…even at the cost of having to give up some stability. To see her make her dream happen after so much hard work, with some tears and frustration along the way, is really inspiring. I LOVE to see my friends succeed following a path that they feel passionate about.

The vision for Social Dress Shop came to life in 2010, when Sarah and her now-husband Ryan had multiple weddings to attend, including their own. Sarah and her girlfriends spent the year constantly challenged to find dresses for parties, showers, rehearsal dinners and weddings and got to know just how frustrating it can be when the right dress for the right occasion eludes you. She recognized the need for an online dress boutique that is both enjoyable to shop and constantly features fresh fashions from a cross-section of new and fresh designers. Fast-forward to the spring of 2012 when Sarah bit the bullet and jumped right in to the world of fashion retailing! Sarah is the first to tell you that Social Dress Shop is a real labor of love, and that she’s reinvigorated every time she hears about how the perfect party dress makes a customer feel special, confident and beautiful!

Check out this behind the scenes video!

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

I am such a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. 95% of the time I’m craving a breakfast that is on the sweet side. That mostly alternates between smoothies or yogurt bowls with overnight oats, chia pudding or oatmeal occasionally thrown in there. On the rare occasion I go savory – it’s scrambled [...]

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

So Many Dinner Ideas

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are in the dog days of it over here in Charlotte – the heat and humidity is off the charts – but it’s something I’ll embrace because I deeply appreciate the massive slow down that summer has brought. A lot of [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
