I’m so happy that you enjoyed the tips for breaking into group exercise. I’m definitely planning on writing similar posts about personal training, yoga teacher training and the CrossFit certification process so stay tuned!

A photo heavy, Instagram heavy update  to bring you up to speed on what life has been looking like over here.

Still on the smoothie kick. This one was awesome with kale, banana, mango, mixed berries, almond milk, Raw Organic Whey protein powder and a drizzle of agave. I know we’ve talked about green smoothies a lot around here but I wanted to reiterate that you really can’t taste the green, even with the kale. Just let it blend long enough to really break up and mix in with everything else.

I have no words.

Comfort food Friday night. Chicken fried tofu, balsamic brussels, squash casserole and black eyes peas.

Weekend wine.

I had an awesome Saturday morning. Lounging on the couch, black coffee, a killer 90-minute hot yoga class and brunch. Egg scramble with kale, tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, baby portobellos and goat cheese and carrot ginger soup.

If there is something to rest her chin on, she’s there. And yes, I need to blow the leaves on my back patio.

Today I put on jeans for the first time in 7 days. This is my life. I love wearing lulu every day but I really, really appreciate putting on “real” clothes now.

The reason I got dressed was to go to the mall in hopes of finding a new bathing suit for my upcoming vacation. I didn’t find a bathing suit but I found a red dress, new makeup from Laura Mercier and Godiva chocolate. I had really high hopes at Victoria’s Secret since they’re now carrying a nice selection of swim in store but sadly I didn’t have enough to fill any of the tops up. And there were so freaking pretty. Boo.

And now I leave you with this.

My inner Georgia bulldog dies! So cute. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend!

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

I am such a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. 95% of the time I’m craving a breakfast that is on the sweet side. That mostly alternates between smoothies or yogurt bowls with overnight oats, chia pudding or oatmeal occasionally thrown in there. On the rare occasion I go savory – it’s scrambled [...]

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

So Many Dinner Ideas

So Many Dinner Ideas

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are in the dog days of it over here in Charlotte – the heat and humidity is off the charts – but it’s something I’ll embrace because I deeply appreciate the massive slow down that summer has brought. A lot of [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
