This is such a misleading post title. I kind of feel bad about even posting it because there is no juicy gossip to be had here…
Just eggs for me.
And eggs for Sullie.
I was feeling really over oatmeal, Greek yogurt, nut butters, etc. yesterday morning and it was the only morning of the week that I didn’t have to be at the gym extra early so I made an omelet for breakfast. Sauteed mushrooms, greens, tomatoes, goat cheese, one egg and one egg white. I cooked the leftover egg yolk for Sullie and added it to her morning kibbles. She pretty much thought it was the best morning ever. (Of course she patiently waited for her “Oink, Oink” command.”
I am that dog mom who routinely cooks extra of something to supplement Sullie’s food with and I own that proudly.
Other things I’ve fed myself over the last couple of days include leftover butternut squash and bean chili that was super doctored up with cheese, plain Greek yogurt, avocado and chips. I am going to have to send the rest of the leftovers off to the freezer. After 3-4 bowls, I’m done with it for now.
The last of the leftover risotto with leftover herbs de provence chicken with tomatoes and a salad with greens, pecans, dried cranberries, goat cheese and strawberries. For a girl who doesn’t love leftovers, I sure am proud of myself for eating in ever meal breakfast, lunch and dinner this week and using up all my leftovers!
Tempeh sandwiches…this was the best yet with avocado, tempeh, BBQ sauce, mixed greens and colby jack.
Time for a run, teaching BodyPump and meeting co-workers for dinner – my first meal out of the week! I leave you with one interesting thing to read…I saw this article in Bon Appetit about the free cafeteria and food that Google offers their employees and how they promote healthy choices. A little sneaky but fascinating!
Does anyone else cook for their pet?
