Lots of things I’m currently into that I want to share.
Two Body Products I’m OBSESSED with.
Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel. I discovered this stuff about six months ago and it’s been a staple in my bathroom ever since. It’s unbeatable in its moisturizing abilities…especially during dry winter months and for exposed summer legs. It’s inexpensive and available in several scents that all smell great.
Amir Argon Oil Touch of Tan Moisturizer. I really don’t use self tanners but I love this moisturizer that is argon oil based and features just a touch of self tanner. It smells so amazing and not at all like self tanner.
Music.
NEW CIVIL WARS!!!!!!!!! I streamed the album before its release (legit…via iTunes) and it is amazing. It just came out today and you all must check it out.
For your reading pleasure.
Read Olivia Wilde’s Do’s and Don’t for Turning 30. Here’s the closing statement…
“And DON’T be bogged down by your past.
Saturn has now orbited the sun once since you’ve been alive; make this next go-round whatever you want it to be. Consider your baggage (bad boyfriends, job setbacks, body issues) lost by the airline of life, leaving you empty-handed at your new destination with only one choice: Go shopping.
That’s it. Now go—be awesome.”
And check out this new website/blog that I just discovered, Shit 101, where Natallia writes about Shit They Should Have Taught You in College. She even wrote a book about it. Here’s a highlight from her “about” page.
“So I studied my ass off, graduated with honors, earned a double major in communication and Spanish “donde esta el vino?,” packed up my bags and set out for the most romantic, larger-than-life city in the land: the Big Apple, Ms. New York City herself. I stepped off the train in my knock-off Manolo Blahnik’s to find my Mr. Big. This fantasy lasted a New York minute and then life set in: the life they don’t tell you about in the fairy tales or college applications. There’s no job waiting for you and the Prince Charming is a douchebag. So I did what most young, single people whose dreams are shattered do: I ignored it and partied my ass off.
With every high on Friday and Saturday night came the low-low on Monday morning; I became depressed, gained 40 pounds, was upended by the unexpected death of my father, watched my mother and sister battle severe alcoholism, got in a verbally abusive relationship and at 26, found myself homeless sleeping in the luxurious front seat of my Silver Toyota Echo. Oh Cinderella, where art thou!?”
Finish it all off with some chocolate.
This Taza Salted Almond Mexican Dark Chocolate is the most delicious chocolate that I’ve had in a long time. I picked it up at my local Whole Foods.
And that’s all I’ve got for you! Love sharing my recent discoveries and recommendations.
