Well, I don’t have much to share with you from my Saturday. It’s cold and has been raining all day here in Charlotte. I slept until 8 and then headed to Om Yoga to teach a hot vinyasa class at 9:30. It’s my second week teaching there and I am loving it so much.
I was really in the mood for a green smoothie before class but my ingredients were limited so I ended up with a random combination of banana, mango, chia seeds, super greens mix, coconut milk eggnog, water and ice. I was more worried about the coconut milk egg nog than anything but it ended up being the greens that made this weird. The mix had arugula and the smoothie ended up having a distinct arugula taste. Not exactly the best smoothie ever. I ate several handfuls of Cascadian Farms Cinnamon Crunch cereal with my smoothie. It’s similar to Cinnamon Toast Crunch but less sugar, less calories, a way shorter ingredient list and organic.
After class I came home, showered and got back into bed to read divergent. I don’t get many lazy, rainy Saturdays so I took full advantage!
I was craving a comforting sandwich for lunch so I headed to Which Wich where I ordered a turkey with all kinds of good stuff like olive mix, avocado, banana peppers and more. Love their sandwiches. I came home and went crazy on the fridge…like one of those pull every single food item out and then all the shelves and drawers. It looks like a new fridge! How can such a small task be so rewarding?
And here are this week’s workouts! My energy was really high this week and I was feeling super motivated to workout. It ebbs and flows so when it’s flowing I go with it! I am just so grateful for my balance between yoga, strength, high intensity and running. It’s perfect for me and keeps me feeling good.
