This week has flown by in a haze of teaching, training, writing and photo shoots.
My photographer and I decided to knock out all the photography for my book in one week to try and get as much consistency as possible. We’ve done two days of shooting and have one left to go tomorrow. It’s been a really fun experience and incredibly productive but let me just state for the record that I am ready for the weekend and a cupcake! 🙂
This has been my recent uniform. Sometimes I miss wearing real work clothes but overall I am grateful for comfy fitness clothes. I am LOVING these new Inov-8 F-Lite 185 shoes. The black matches a ton and I love the fun pop of color with turquoise and purple. They’ve been my “go-to” gym shoes for the past month. According to Inov-8 they are a female specific fit that is ideal for athletes with a developed natural running style and feature good grip and stability for running and exercise. I don’t wear them to run anything over a mile but they’re great for strength/circuit type workouts and everyday fashion. (And for those of you who have asked about my bag on Instagram and the blog…it’s a navy Michael Kors cross-body that I scored over 50% off at Nordstrom Rack.)
Now for the real highlight of this post…an AMAZING NEW PLAYLIST!. Generally, I make a new playlist every week to use for my yoga classes. I have to constantly switch up the music because I don’t want my students to hear the same playlist over and over (and for my own personal sanity…I teach 10+ yoga classes a week!). While I like all my playlists, every now and then a playlist just perfectly flows with the class and I love all the songs. I made one of those this week and I can’t get enough of it. I’ve been playing it in every class, listening to it while I workout and playing it in the car. I can’t describe it. It’s emotional and inspiring and feels like a musical journey. And as a fitness instructor and yoga teacher, let me tell you…music can totally impact the flow and energy of a class.
I’ve received multiple requests to share it from students and friends so here you go!

There are four tracks on here that have been on extra repeat…Sea of Voices, Joy, Hurricane and All I Want. Trust me, they will give you chills.
Does music make an impact in your workout? Whether it’s yoga, running or other group fitness classes? Any songs you’ve had on repeat lately?
