Hi! Keep on reading for a sweet giveaway from my friends at KIND.

My weekend was relaxed and full of the normal stuff…yoga, golden retrievers, food. I stayed in on Friday night, ate Vietnamese take out and watched Gone Girl (well, half of Gone Girl…I fell asleep). It was kind of amazing.

weekendbabyshower

I taught two yoga classes on Saturday morning and then wandered around Buy Buy Baby for an hour trying to find a shower gift for a friend. That store overwhelms me!!! The shower was really lovely and had a cute Poo theme. The cake was lemon raspberry from Tizzerts and the shower favors were little jars of honey.

zoeyweekendcollage2Zoey was in maximum cuteness mode over the weekend. She’s at a really fun stage right now and I am enjoying her little personality and playful spirit. I bought her some new toys at Home Goods and she was super excited about them. I also discovered that she loves asparagus. Crazy puppy.

3.23peacockI taught yoga again on Sunday morning. I taught my class peacock pose. It’s a pretty intense wrist and core strengthener and it’s also great and stimulating for the digestive system. The arm positioning feels really uncomfortable at first but once you get comfortable getting into the pose, it’s fun to work on and try to find balance in.

I have been teaching Sunday mornings for four years! I’m thinking about taking a summer sabbatical from the class so that I can have one morning a week to sleep in, lounge and do whatever I want to do.

3.23bacon

After teaching I came home and made Sunday brunch. The highlight of which was bacon!!! I absolutely adore the thick sliced applewood smoked bacon from ALDI.

3.23brunch

While I do enjoy going out for brunch, I also like making it at home. Easy and much cheaper than going out! I made an omelet with feta, spinach, tomatoes, artichokes and olives and topped it off with avocado.

I thought it would be fun to kick off the week with a giveaway.

Kind Bars

I was recently sent a selection of bars from KIND’s new “Nuts & Spices” line to sample.

The flavors I tried included:

– Caramel Almond & Sea Salt
– Dark Chocolate Chili Almond
– Madagascar Vanilla Almond
– Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt
– Maple Glazed Pecan & Sea Salt

kind bars nuts and spices

I have always been a fan of KIND bars and they are a go-to snacking option for me but this was my first time trying the Nuts & Spices line. WOW! They were so good! Y’all know I am a big fan of anything sweet + salty so my favorite flavors were Maple Glazed Pecan & Sea Salt and Caramel Almond & Sea Salt. All of the bars from this line contain 5 grams of sugar or less.

I’m grateful for my friends, family, students and blog readers who pre-ordered my book and are sending me pictures and notes as their books arrive! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Have an amazing week everyone!

KIND provided me with bars to sample for this post.

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

I am such a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. 95% of the time I’m craving a breakfast that is on the sweet side. That mostly alternates between smoothies or yogurt bowls with overnight oats, chia pudding or oatmeal occasionally thrown in there. On the rare occasion I go savory – it’s scrambled [...]

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

So Many Dinner Ideas

So Many Dinner Ideas

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are in the dog days of it over here in Charlotte – the heat and humidity is off the charts – but it’s something I’ll embrace because I deeply appreciate the massive slow down that summer has brought. A lot of [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
