Hey everyone! I have a quick weekly workout post for you now and then I’ll be back later with a weekend recap.

It was a quiet week on the workout front because things have been anything but quiet on the life and work front. All good stuff though. And as I say on repeat, part of why I don’t get too stuck on planning workouts is to cut myself some slack when I can’t fit them in. So even though this was a lighter week, I feel good about the quality of my workouts.

Monday

Hot yoga

Tuesday

3 mile run + deadlift and pull up ladder starting at 10, counting down to 1 reps (105# deadlifts, kipping pull ups)

Wednesday

REST

Thursday

1 mile run warm up and CrossFit + hot yoga

4 rounds for time:

9 back squats (105#)
12 ring dips
15 burpees
18 supine toes to bar
400 meter run

This took me 23 minutes. I really pushed the pace on the 400s and kept around a 6:45 pace. I did this workout in the AM and then went to hot yoga later that night to stretch it out.

Friday

30 mins hot yoga (had to leave early for a meeting) + 3 mile run

Saturday

REST

Sunday

Hot yoga

While we’re talking workouts, I have a great new workout outfit to share with you.

As I mentioned last week, I am working with The Track & Field Store here in Charlotte to help spread the word about their amazing line of fitness and lifestyle apparel. The Track & Field Store is a Brazilian company that has just opened a few stores in the US over the last couple of years. They have over 120 stores in Brazil and a few in the US…NYC, LA and Charlotte! The Charlotte store opened over the summer.

Last week they gave me this outfit to test and I love it. The pants are high-waisted (which is my new favorite) and hug in all the right places. The quality of the fabric is awesome. They are soft and thick. The top is extremely lightweight, breathable and a great length. I love flowy tanks and this one is perfect for yoga and running.

You can check out The Track & Field Store lookbook here and if you’re in Charlotte, LA or NYC…visit the store!

I also have to throw in a quick shout about these new Under Armour shoes that I was sent to test. They are super lightweight training and running shoes and I have been loving them for CrossFit/circuit-type workouts as well as hanging out and training clients.

How was your week of workouts?

What workout gear are you loving right now?

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

I am such a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. 95% of the time I’m craving a breakfast that is on the sweet side. That mostly alternates between smoothies or yogurt bowls with overnight oats, chia pudding or oatmeal occasionally thrown in there. On the rare occasion I go savory – it’s scrambled [...]

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

So Many Dinner Ideas

So Many Dinner Ideas

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are in the dog days of it over here in Charlotte – the heat and humidity is off the charts – but it’s something I’ll embrace because I deeply appreciate the massive slow down that summer has brought. A lot of [...]

Happy weekend! Another week in the books! I got three runs in (6.5 miles, 5.5 miles, 5.5 miles) and I have a trail run planned for tomorrow. Total weekly mileage will end up around 30-35 miles depending on if I go for 13 or 17 tomorrow! I’m 16 weeks out from the Golden Ultra so [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
