2016 Dominican Republic Photo Journal

I think I took over 500 pictures over the course of the week we spent in the Dominican Republic for our yoga retreat and vacation. I have quite a few trip posts planned for you in the coming weeks including full resort reviews of both Zoetry Agua Punta Cana and AlSol Tiara Collection Cap Cana.

I thought for today I would just share some of my favorite moments from this year’s retreat and our extended stay.

arrivalatzoetry

Arriving at Zoetry! First skinny margarita of vacation.

yogaandcoconuts

Practice hydration.

zoetrypracticeview

Our favorite practice spot.

drwater

The water was GORGEOUS on this trip! I’ve been to Punta Cana three times before this trip over the course of three years and the water has never been this calm or clear.

dropbacksinparadise

Teaching my class drop backs one morning. We workshopped a few things during our morning practices. I loved seeing the couples assisting and trusting each other. ๐Ÿ™‚

ZoetryGirls

Some of the amazing ladies who came with us. We had quite a few people who have come on the retreat every year as well as some new faces. It’s so great to get to know everyone outside of the studio.

turndownheart

Turndown service. Zoetry offers maid service three times a day!

horsebackbeach

Horseback riding on the beach.

jenwhorse

I love horses and haven’t been on one in forever. This was one of my favorite moments of the whole trip. I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole time.

horsebackzoetry

So glad he’s willing to do whatever I sign us up for! ๐Ÿ™‚

zoetrychampagne

Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and grapes delivered to our room from our travel agent!

The whole group (minus a couple) on our last day. Love these people. (Photo Wanda Koch)

arrivaltiara

Arriving at AlSol Tiara.

massagesign

Getting distracted by a cheap massage special on the way to the gym. (Which we totally took advantage of. It was like a Jedi mind trick, one minute we were standing outside of the door, the next minute we were face down on a massage table.)

rumbeach

All the necessities.

sunsetyoga

Sunset practice on our incredible balcony.

alsolchampagne

More champagne and chocolates, courtesy of the GM at AlSol Tiara who was so kind to us.

alsolhammock

Paradise.

treeonatree

The last day.

More trip posts to come! Stay tuned.

Do you prefer a “relaxing lay on the beach” kind of vacation or “packed with excursions?”ย
