Friday I’m In Love, Volume 8

Happy Friday friends.

I received a gift from the universe yesterday when my Friday 6:30 a.m. client cancelled due to a stomach bug. My regular Friday 7:30 client had already moved her session up a day so I was going to have to go to the gym for just one 30-minute client. I was totally willing to do it because I’m committed to my clients but instead I got to sleep until 8 and got my first night of over 7 hours of sleep all week. It was wonderful. And needed.

Some “Friday I’m In Love” to share.

4.8hummusricecake

Okay, I don’t think I’ve bought rice cakes since college or something but I feel like I’ve been seeing them on people’s blogs and in their feeds more lately. I picked up a pack of organic brown rice cakes and have been spreading Cedar’s Organic Lemon Cayenne Hommus (<– new fave hummus flavor) on top of them. Such a yummy snack! I’ve also topped them with hummus, mashed avocado and turkey for a spin on a sandwich.

4.8cashewbutterdate

Can we take a moment to talk about Whole Foods Cashew Butter? OMG. I’m OBSESSED. I’ve been eating it on dates, on bananas, with apples, on my sweet potato bowls and straight up with a spoon.

4.8cashewbutter

We crushed this whole jar in less than a week. Seriously, YOU MUST PICK SOME UP if you have a WF in your area. The best part is that it’s only $8.99. Most of the other cashew butters I have seen have been $12+.

4.8kombucha

GT’s Sharing Gratitude Kombucha. I’ve always loved this brand of kombucha but it was my first time trying this turmeric, carrot and ginger flavor.

4.8happy

The sweetest “Friday Happy” from one of my yoga students. She comes to my classes twice a week and we always chat after class and catch up on life. She is so amazingly thoughtful and sweet and surprised me with two beautiful bouquets of flowers, almond butter, bath bombs, plantain chips and body lotion. Made my day.

4.8flowers2

I was able to make two big arrangements and two bud vases with the flowers and they are adding so much cheer to the house. Flowers (and friends) are the best! 🙂

4.8girls

These two. Always in love with them and their sweet sisterly love. <3

4.8baby

Baby time is always something to love. Gah, my friends have the cutest babies. We had a girl’s night last night and I got to spend lots of time cuddling this one.

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

I am such a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. 95% of the time I’m craving a breakfast that is on the sweet side. That mostly alternates between smoothies or yogurt bowls with overnight oats, chia pudding or oatmeal occasionally thrown in there. On the rare occasion I go savory – it’s scrambled [...]

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

So Many Dinner Ideas

So Many Dinner Ideas

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are in the dog days of it over here in Charlotte – the heat and humidity is off the charts – but it’s something I’ll embrace because I deeply appreciate the massive slow down that summer has brought. A lot of [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
