It’s 11 a.m. on Friday and I’m still in my pajamas and drinking coffee.

And looking at a stormy ocean. I flew to Florida yesterday to spend a few days with my parents and my grandmother. I slept for almost 10 hours last night and it was magical. One of the first things my mom said to me when she picked me up yesterday was, “you look really tired.” (In the sweet, caring mom way…not the “you don’t look so good” way…haha).

My grandmother is finally getting moved into her new place! Her furniture and boxes arrived yesterday after being in storage since we moved her out of her home in Georgia back in November. It’s going to be a crazy few days of unpacking and getting her settled.

For today’s “Friday I’m In Love,” I wanted to share some jewelry with you that feels fun and spring-y from my talented friend Erin McDermott. She’s also offering some awesome discount codes for you guys! 🙂

Erin McDermott Jewelry

I stopped by Erin’s studio a few weeks ago to see what she’s been up to and what she’s been working on. It had been ages since we’d caught up!

Coco Hill Wear Art

She had all sorts of great pieces including a new line, Coco Hill, that she’s collaborated with her friend artist Kiki Slaughter to create. It’s “wearable art” that features colorful canvas sourced from actual Kiki Slaughter paintings and Erin turns it into beautiful jewelry. They’ve created bangles, wrap bracelets and necklaces and each one is unique.

I picked a wrap bracelet in one of my favorite colors for summer. You can check out all of their pieces on the Coco Hill website. The bangles are especially awesome!

From the Erin McDermott Jewelry collection I picked out this Japanese Seed Necklace that’s awesome for layering with other pieces or just giving you a delicate pop of color on its own. The necklace comes in several different color combinations.

I am OBSESSED with these Santa Monica Earrings. They come in white and turquoise.

I have worn them several times in the past few weeks and every time I wear them I receive so many comments and compliments about them.

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

Breakfast + What I Bought at Trader Joe’s

I am such a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast. 95% of the time I’m craving a breakfast that is on the sweet side. That mostly alternates between smoothies or yogurt bowls with overnight oats, chia pudding or oatmeal occasionally thrown in there. On the rare occasion I go savory – it’s scrambled [...]

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

So Many Dinner Ideas

So Many Dinner Ideas

Happy Friday! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are in the dog days of it over here in Charlotte – the heat and humidity is off the charts – but it’s something I’ll embrace because I deeply appreciate the massive slow down that summer has brought. A lot of [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
