Friday I’m In Love: Volume 10

Happiest of Fridays! I hit the ground running after the long weekend with my family and this week has flown by in a haze of early mornings and late nights. This weekend we have our eighth and final weekend of our Winter/Spring 200-Hour Teacher Training and our trainees graduate on Sunday night. I’m looking forward to soaking up one more weekend with them. They are an amazing bunch!

I have a fun round up for you of things I’ve been loving this week so I’m going to get right to it.

Arriving home to dinner after my weekend away.

Rack of Lamb with Roasted Asparagus and Roasted Carrots

I took a late flight back to Charlotte on Monday and didn’t get home until almost 10 p.m. I opened the door to find this dinner on the table. My fiance surprised me with rack of lamb, roasted asparagus and roasted carrots. (And yes, he cooked it!) I added some of my dad’s freshly baked sourdough to the table with some olive oil and balsamic.

North Carolina strawberries.

North Carolina Strawberries

I was a little disappointed by the Florida strawberries that were in the stores this season. They didn’t taste sweet or especially like a strawberry. They kind of tasted like nothing. We’re finally in NC strawberry season and they are so good!

Trader Joe’s Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus.

Trader Joe's Cilantro Jalapeno Hummus

Love, love, LOVE this flavor. I’ve been eating it all week.

Warm sunny days.

Golden retrievers

It’s been really pretty in Charlotte this week. And warm! We’ve been in the 80s most days and next week it’s supposed to be 90. The girls are spending tons of time sunbathing.

This quote.

I shared it on Instagram earlier this week and it’s still cracking me up. This is basically what happens every time I attack a nut butter jar with a spoon.

White workout wear.

Track and Field Store Tank Top

I love this white tank from The Track & Field Store. It’s loose but not too lose and super breathable and easy to move in. Get excited, I have a big Track & Field post coming up in the next week with a bunch of looks and a giveaway.

Reminiscing with my grandmother.

We went through a scrapbook that I made for her about 7 years ago and it was full of good memories and laughs. (Fun memory…I used to put on full-out dance and gymnastics productions for my grandmother and her neighbors when I visited. And let’s just say that my dancing skills leave a little something to be desired.)

Welcoming smoothies back into my life.

Smoothie and Premier Protein Powder

Yum and yum. This one was spinach, blueberries, bananas, raspberries, strawberries, a date, coconut milk, protein powder and almond butter.

Stalking my friend’s new golden retriever puppy.

Golden Retriever Puppy

Meet Paul Newman. My friend Ashleigh has an older girl around the same age as Sullie and has been thinking of getting another for over a year now. She finally took the plunge and brought Paul Newman home.

Golden Retrievers

The report is that Delilah needs some time to adjust to her new baby brother. She’s giving him a bit of a cold shoulder right now. I nearly cried laughing at this photo. He’s like, “I just want to be close” and she’s having none of it.

Inspiring words.

A reader shared this quote on my “The Lie I Give Up” post and I love it so. It’s short but really hits home.

Layering Erin McDermott Jewelry.

Erin McDermott Jewlery

I shared these pieces in my post last Friday but I have to share again. I’ve been wearing them nonstop, especially the Japanese Seed Bead necklace. Remember, you can use code PBR to get 30% off the Santa Monica earrings and the Japanese Seed Bead necklace!

I’m off to go get my stuff together. I’m teaching two more hot yoga classes this afternoon (one regular class and one for the teacher trainee’s practice) and then we have teacher training until 9 p.m.

Hope you have an awesome Friday night!

What are you loving lately?
