Friday I’m In Love: Volume 13

Happy Friday and happy National Donut Day!

7.8fritter

I’ve been dreaming about the apple fritters at The Donut Hole for months now and I think I’ll have to finally make it a reality when I visit my parents in a few weeks.

Has anyone else noticed how much donuts have risen in popularity lately? It seems like a lot of donut and bagel places as well as ice cream parlors shut down years ago and then we had this crazy rise of froyo and cupcakes. I feel like that’s dying down and now I’m seeing a lot of froyo places go out of business and we have new trendy donut shops popping up around town.

Anyway, let’s talk about some Friday I’m In Love. It’s been a couple of weeks!

11.23sulliepark

First, I have THE BEST FRIDAY NEWS EVER! If you missed it on Facebook or Instagram, yesterday I shared that the vet called with the pathology reports from Sullie’s surgery and we don’t have to do chemo or radiation! They had a veterinary oncologist review the report and as of now she’s a Grade 2. This means that she is at a higher risk for getting more in the future but as of now they have not metastasized. We go in next Monday for a check up and she’ll hopefully get her staples out. She’s been so good about leaving them along and letting her incisions heal. They are so big so I’m proud of her.

Yay, yay, yay!!!!!

6.3kindbars

My friends at Kind sent me a selection of new bar flavors to try out and they are great! The Dark Chocolate Almond and Coconut tastes like a Girl Scout cookie and the Raspberry Cashew Chia will be a new go-to flavor for me. I haven’t tried the Black Truffle Almond and Sea Salt yet but it sounds really interesting and I tend to like anything truffle.

6.3jz

I have been loving warm weather runs, especially with Zoey tagging along. She loves running and the entire time we’re out on our runs she’ll keep looking back at me with this big smile and her tongue hanging out and her eyes say, “Is this really happening right now, Mom? This is amazing.” If you missed my letter to running on Global Running Day, check it out. I’m glad we’re in such a good place! 🙂

6.3coffee

Y’all know I’m a coffee fanatic. I either French Press or make a pot of coffee every morning. Recently, I received a package from Marley Coffee with a selection of their coffees. The coffee is sustainably grown and ethically farmed, which is always a must for me when it comes to buying coffee.

6.3coffeebreakfast

I’ve been drinking Marley coffee for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. I was sent Mystic Morning, Lively Up and Buffalo Solider. Rohan Marley, the son of Bob Marley, is the founder of Marley coffee. You can read the whole story of how he became involved in the coffee industry here. The coffee is available on Amazon and through other retailers.

And finally, some link love.
