Just a quick check-in tonight.
After a day of teaching, training and computer work, I cooked my favorite lemon parmesan salmon recipe for dinner.
And we took Zoey and Sullie for a sunset walk. It’s been so hot here this week but we had a quick storm this evening that cooled everything down nicely. It ended up being a perfect summer night.
I wanted to share two things with you. The first are words. This is what I read my yoga class on Wednesday night. It was 95 degrees in the middle of the week of 4th of July and I walked in to find 55 people ready to practice yoga in a 100 degree room at 6 p.m. To say that my heart was rocked is an understatement.
One of our front desk staffers saw this taped up in a bathroom in a country gas station. After some Googling, it seems to be a well-circulated poem by Robert Paul Gilles Jr., but how special to see it in someone’s handwriting in a gas station in the middle of no where?
I got really vulnerable and shared how I relate to this poem, and I was touched after class to have so many of them share that they relate as well.
This was the soundtrack to class.
And this is the soundtrack to life lately. When I’m not teaching or training, I want to be holed up and working at home. It’s where I am most productive and able to recharge my batteries. I love music in the background. I’ve been feeling really uninspired by my go-to Spotify work playlists lately so I made my own “workflow” playlist that features 9 hours of chilled out, ambient tunes.
Enjoy.
Sending lots of love to all of you. <3 <3 <3

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]

I recently spent four nights in Moab, Utah for a three-day stage trail race called Moab Run The Rocks. Since returning home, I’ve been telling everyone I talk to about my trip that they must put Moab on their travel bucket list (43 miles of running not required to have an amazing visit to Moab [...]

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]
