Terra's Kitchen Review: a fresh meal delivery service with over 40 weekly meal options including gluten-free, vegetarian, Paleo and low fat meals.

I haven’t had to do any meal planning for the last week thanks to Terra’s Kitchen and their amazing fresh meal delivery service. I’m excited to share this Terra’s Kitchen review with you guys today because I think you’ll love it as much as we did! I also made a fun unboxing video for you because the way Terra’s Kitchen gets food to you is so unique.

The Terra’s Kitchen FreshRealm Climate-Controlled Vessel

Terra's Kitchen Review

The coolest thing about Terra’s Kitchen by far is that the delivery arrives on your doorstep in a climate-controlled FreshRealm Vessel that can be reused up to 100 times to deliver food to Terra’s Kitchen customers.

Terra's Kitchen FreshRealm Climate-Controlled Vessel

The FreshRealm Vessel is the first reusable packaging of its kind and is designed to help reduce waste.

Terra's Kitchen FreshRealm Vessel

The loaded Vessel packed with food is pretty heavy but there are recessed handles and I was easily able to lift it on my own and get it up on the counter for unboxing. The Vessel will remain chilled until 9 p.m. on the day of delivery (much longer if it’s not hot out) and features tamper-resistant bands so that you know your food inside is pristine.

Terra's Kitchen Review

You open your Vessel to find everything you need to make your meals for the week. There are several options for number of meals and serving amounts but I went with four meals for two people and our Vessel was packed to the brim. When you’re placing your order on the Terra’s Kitchen website, there’s a tracker bar letting you know how much space is left in your Vessel as you select your meals.

Terra's Kitchen Shipping

After you get your Vessel unpacked, you simply close it back up and peel off the shipping label where you’ll find the return label underneath all ready to go. You place the Vessel back outside and delivery is scheduled for pickup the next business day. Super easy.

Terra’s Kitchen Meals

So, I’ve wowed you with the delivery but are the meals good? YES! Here’s why you’re going to love Terra’s Kitchen meals.

  • You can select your own meals for the week with over 40 recipes to choose from. You’re free to mix and match all you want as long as it fits in your Vessel.
  • You can filter meals by low calorie, Paleo, gluten-free and vegetarian.
  • All meals are ready in under 30 minutes (for real).
  • Most everything comes pre-chopped, pre-portioned and ready to use in your recipe.
  • The recipes are simple and straightforward to prepare with no crazy long ingredients lists but are FULL of flavor.
  • Very generous portions.
  • You can choose between 3 dinners for 2 people, 4 dinners for 2 people or 2 dinners for 4 people.

Here are the four meals we selected for the week. They were all gluten-free and we didn’t even mean to go that route! There are recipe cards in the links to the recipes.

Grilled Chicken Tacos with Avocado Goat Cheese Sauce

Grilled Chicken Tacos with Avocado Goat Cheese Sauce

The four important words here are…Avocado Goat Cheese Sauce. I don’t eat cheese often these days but I knew I wasn’t passing up on trying this sauce. It was AMAZING and totally made the tacos. We will definitely be recreating this sauce in the future.

Roasted Brown Sugar Salmon with Orange Jicama Salad

Roasted Brown Sugar Salmon with Orange Jicama Salad

Everything about this salad was perfection. I was worried that salmon salad might be boring but with the salad mix of arugula, mint, fennel root, jicama sticks and almonds dressed with a citrus vinaigrette, it was far from it. I also added avocado and dried cranberries to the salad because I couldn’t help myself (#avocadoeverything) and we both agreed that this is a salad we’ll be making again. The jicama sticks added such a great crunch.

Terra Buddha Bowl

Terra Buddha Bowl

I was sure to add a vegetarian selection to my order and we had this one for Meatless Monday. It was a sesame jasmine rice base topped with arugula, charred red onions, spiced chick peas, sugar snap peas and avocado dressing. You roasted the chick peas and onions on a baking sheet and I loved the spice mixture for the chickpeas which included chili powder, paprika and brown sugar. I sound like a broken record but we’ll be recreating this one again on our own.

Grilled Lamb with Pan Roasted Asparagus, Olives and Tomatoes

Grilled Lamb with Pan Roasted Asparagus, Olives and Tomatoes

This recipe featured grass-fed, no hormones/antibiotics, pasture-raised lamb loin with black olives, cherry tomatoes parmesan and asparagus. It looks pretty fancy but I made it at 9 p.m. on a Tuesday night and had it on the table in under 25 minutes. Again, we loved it.

Unboxing Video

Here’s my unboxing video so that you can see how it all works, complete with some fun bloopers at the end. I was having a hard time speaking on this day. 😉

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]
