Happy Friday! I fell off the Friday favorites bandwagon a few months ago when I started to share my recent eats on Fridays instead. I have a random mix of things to share today so I thought I’d make it a “February Favorites” kind of thing. I also have a giveaway for you!

Let’s get right to it.

Valentine’s Day

Valentine's Day Cards

When Tanner got home from work at 8 p.m. on Valentine’s Day with flowers, a card and a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg, I teased him that nothing says “I waited until the last minute” like Easter candy. 😉 To give him credit, he did suggest seeing a movie and going to dinner and I declined both. I really prefer to stay home on V-day. He also reminded me that I’ve long professed that peanut butter eggs are my favorite so he was actually excited to bring me one. We definitely got a good laugh from it all. I’m actually eating it as I write this post.

be Runa Seed Salt and Seed Sweet Giveaway

be Runa Seed Salt

This is not the first time that you’ve seen be Runa Seed Salt on my favorites list. I first learned about this seasoning about a year ago when a friend gifted me a jar of the black truffle. I fell in love with it and ended up placing my own order for another jar of the black truffle and the curry. I tagged be Runa in a few Instagram food posts and founder Tamara Runa reached out to me to thank me for spreading the word. She sent me a package with three new jars of seed salt as well as their sweet salt to try.

The Seed Salt features a combination of 9 different organic seeds, superfoods, mineral salts and spices. It is organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and paleo.

Avocado toast with be Runa seed salt

If you look back at my recent eats posts, you will see be Runa Seed Salt on almost everything! I use it on eggs, avocado toast, salads, rice bowls, chicken, veggies and more.

be Runa Seed Sweet

The Seed Sweet was new to me. It comes in three flavor varieties: coconut cacao, berry vanilla and cinnamon spice. Seed Sweet is a mix of 9 different organic seeds, superfoods, superfruits, spices and coconut palm sugar. I’m thinking I’ll use it in chia pudding, on sweet potato bowls, on roasted sweet potatoes or winter squash and on smoothie bowls.

Giveaway!

Tamara has offered to give away a boxed set of three. If you’d like to enter, leave a comment below letting me know whether you’d pick the Seed Sweet or Seed Salt!

Read more about be Runa on their website. They’re based in San Diego and while you can’t find Seed Salt and Seed Sweet in major retailers, you can order from their website and have it delivered to your door. I hope you’ll support a fellow female business owner and give it a try. I know you guys will get hooked too! Someone left a review on their website and said, “it’s like magical fairy dust for your tongue” and I couldn’t agree more.

*This is not sponsored I just think Tamara has created a kick ass product! Giveaway open to U.S. readers only. Enter by Monday, February 20 at midnight.

Under Armour Gemini 3

Under Armour Gemini 3

The team at Under Armour sent me the newest model of the Speed Form Gemini 3 to test out and it was love at first site.

Under Armour Gemini 3

In addition to loving how they look, they’re also extremely comfortable. While I run pretty much exclusively in Newton’s these days, you will almost always find me in Under Armour shoes for gym workouts, walking the dogs and just day-to-day athleisure wear. I have been testing shoes from them for almost five years and I am so impressed by how much they’ve improved their shoe game.

The craziest thing about these Gemini 3 is that they are the first ever “smart shoe” that uses a jump test to help tell you how hard to run. After setting a baseline, your jump score will measure muscle fatigue and recovery rate to suggest how intensely to run.

WHAT?

This shoe integrates with MapMyRun via a built-in chip that provides GPS tracking, real-time stats and data storage. It tracks, analyses and stores your workout data like time, cadence, duration, distance and splits.

I haven’t used this feature yet as I just received the shoes last week but I’ll be sure to report back because this is just crazy!

Life Lately: Summer So Far

Life Lately: Summer So Far

I want to bottle up this summer and make it last forever (well, maybe minus the wildly hot and humid weather that makes running a big thumbs down). I mentioned this in my last post…but I am really enjoying the slower pace and the days that feel like they have more space. While I’m trying [...]

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]
