How I got a brand new Lululemon jacket 50% off with thredUP!

I love it when I work with new-to-me brands and end up loving their product/service so much that I become a regular customer. This is exactly what happened after I worked with thredUP last summer. It’s become one of my go-to resources for everything from clothes to shoes to activewear. I’m excited to partner with them again for this post to share more thredUP goodness with you guys! 🙂

Secondhand fashion at amazing prices with thredUP

If you’re not familiar with thredUP, it’s a huge online store that both buys and sells high-quality secondhand fashion for women and kids. The photo above shows a sampling of some of the name brand clothes and shoes that I ordered the first time I worked with thredUP…Ted Baker, Theory, Splendid, J. Crew and more. You can shop current trends for up to 90% off.

thredUP activewear

Today’s post is all about activewear because I think it’s safe to say that we all love to sweat around here! I recently placed an order for some new activewear and was thrilled with what I received.

thredUP delivery

My delivery arrived this week and I couldn’t wait to open the box and check out my picks. And of course I had to post the obligatory Zoey delivery picture because she greets everyone who comes to our door with a smile. (Someone please tell me that your glass door has an equal amount of doggie nose prints!)

Although most thredUP finds are secondhand, you would never know it from how clean, fresh and nicely packaged everything arrives.

thredUP triple inspects each item they receive by hand to ensure that all of the clothes are like-new (and you’ll sometimes find items that actually are new with tags!). When you open your box, it truly feels like someone carefully put it all together for you.

My order was neatly folded and just waiting for me to try on!

Save big on activewear with thredUP.

(Lululemon jacket: retail $128.00, thredUP $65.99 new with tags!, Lululemon sports bra: retail $48.00, thredUP $33.99, GapFit tank: retail $54.00, thredUP $20.99 new with tags!)

When you browse the thredUP site, you can easily search by brand and filter by size, color, price and style to pinpoint your favorite brands or a specific thing you might be searching for. I was able to browse through an awesome selection of Lululemon, GapFit, Athleta and other premium activewear brands with a couple clicks of my mouse.

I loved the color palette that ended up coming together with my order. I am kind of obsessed with this shade of purple so when I spotted a Lululemon jacket priced at 50% less than retail, I scooped it up immediately. I ended up also finding a Lululemon Free to Be sports bra (my favorite style of sports bra from Lulu) in a fun chartreuse color and it was the perfect pop of color to go with the jacket. Both the white GapFit tank and the Lululemon jacket were BRAND NEW with tags!

This Lulu jacket was definitely the biggest steal of my order. I love it!

Saving on activewear with thredUP.

(Nancy Rose tank: retail $71.00, thredUP $22.99)

I mostly stuck to brands I knew but I wanted to branch out a little so I put this Nancy Rose dance wrap tank in my cart. It’s a fun and unique piece to add to my collection.

Athleta activewear secondhand via thredUP.

(Athleta long-sleeved top: retail $54.00, thredUP $16.99)

When I’m not teaching, my standard uniform for working on studio management/blogging stuff is sneakers, leggings and a comfy top. This Athleta top fits the bill perfectly!

All in all, I ended up saving $217 by ordering through thredUP. That’s pretty awesome in my book.

thredUP activewear review

One last important note, if you have clothes you don’t want anymore you can order a thredUP Clean Out Kit. You simply fill it with items you no longer want and place it on your front door for pick up. You can even check their website first to check what they do/don’t take and what the payout is. I could definitely stand to give my workout wear drawers a once over and send a selection off to thredUP!

And finally, thredUP shared this fact about the benefit of shopping secondhand for the planet and I had to pass it on. If 1 out of every 100 American households shopped secondhand, they would collectively save 1.6 BILLION every year. That’s enough for each of those households to pay for two years of college. I can wholeheartedly say that this is a company that I can get behind.

The first 100 readers to use code PBR40 will receive an extra 40% off of their first order. (New customers only, discount up to $50.)

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]
