I’m a little late on getting the second half of our St. Pete weekend recap to you. I hit the ground running this week after four days away. We have some big and exciting stuff in the works that I can’t wait to share!
This wedding was too beautiful not to write about so let’s dive back into the recap starting with Saturday morning.
We headed into the Five Points neighborhood of St. Pete for a hot yoga class at The Body Electric Yoga Company on Saturday morning. We fell in love with the studio upon walking through the doors. It has an amazing vibe.
Our 75 minute practice with Tiffany was great. We all agreed that we got a crazy awesome sweat in with the radiant heat panels + the class just felt wonderful. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone who lives in or visits the St. Pete area!
We stopped by Publix on our way back to Treasure Island to grab lunch to take out to the beach. How can you say no to a Publix sub? We soaked up a few hours of sun before it was time to get ready for the wedding.
We Ubered over to St. Pete Beach for the festivities around 5 p.m. The ceremony was on the beach.
Our friend Angie was a gorgeous bride and blessed with a lovely wedding day. 70 degrees, sunny and low humidity.
The ceremony was so sweet and special and we were all dabbing our eyes and sniffling throughout.
Up next. 😉
The dress I ordered from Lulus came in the day before we left but luckily it worked out perfectly. I’m a shorty so I was worried I’d need to have it hemmed but with heels the length was perfect. FYI…it was only $64 and super, super high quality. It’s available in quite a few colors.
Here’s the back of it.
The reception was held in the Presidential Ballroom of the Grand Plaza Hotel. The ballroom is on the top floor of the hotel and features floor to ceiling windows. The panoramic views of the gulf and the beach were stunning.
Table decor.
Close up of the centerpieces + I smiled to see this name on my place card.

Our group.
My dearest friend in the world.
I love that we’re starting to be able to enjoy weekends away without so much stress about the business back home. It’s a refreshing change of pace.
THE CAKE! It had layers of carrot cake and layers of raspberry almond. Dream come true. I had two pieces, one of each.
Sunset views.
Yoga girls.
The beautiful bride. I can honestly say that Angie is this beautiful inside and out. She’s one of the most authentically fun-loving, kind and sincere people that I know.
Dinner. The lighting was funky once the sun went down but I had roast beef with horseradish sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes and a chicken artichoke dish and a side salad with ranch.
The evening ended with quite a lot of dancing and laughing.
I wanted to get a walk in and enjoy the last bit of our trip on Sunday morning so Tanner and I took a walk to get coffee and breakfast for everyone. We hit up Coffee Grounds which was the cutest little coffee shop on the island.
There was a dude outside of the coffee shop in a tent making pancakes and sausage so we brought some back for everyone.
It was a delicious Sunday brunch. We cooked some eggs and had fruit on the side.
After brunch we packed up and headed to the airport for our trip back to Charlotte. It was such a great weekend!
