Good morning! I didn’t mean to not post for four days but then I got distracted by grandmothers and goldens.

I came down to Florida to spend a long weekend with my family for Mother’s Day. It’s been a great visit and I’ll be heading back to Charlotte later this evening.

In the meantime, I’ll enjoy this view for a little while longer. I need to catch up on some work this morning and then I’ll squeeze in a quick workout and a few more hours on the beach before my flight.

Sweat Report

Before I dive into last week’s workouts…big news for my fellow fitness instructors and yoga teachers! Lululemon has updated their R&D program and it’s now called “The Sweat Collective.” The new program includes a bigger discount – 25% off all full-priced merch – in addition to the ability to shop not only in-store but online too! WOO! This is a huge improvement!

If you’re a current R&D member, watch your email for details on how to sign-up for the new program. If you are not a current R&D member, look out for news from Lululemon in the coming months on how to apply for the program.

Here’s what my workouts looked like last week…

Monday: teach Y2 Strength + hot yoga

Tuesday: teach Y2 Strength + hot yoga

Wednesday: teach Y2 Strength + hot yoga

Thursday: teach Y2 Strength + hot yoga

Friday: hot yoga

Saturday: 4 mile run

Sunday: hot yoga

They were a tad bit repetitive due to the launch of our new strength program at Y2 + my participation in our 30-day challenge but the combo of teaching the strength classes along with a hot practice has been a good and challenging one. I am definitely missing the running piece of my workouts (like missing it I want to do it, not just that it’s “missing”) but I’ll figure out how to work it back in soon.

Check out the dumbbell workout I taught for Y2 Strength on Monday and Tuesday in this post.

Your Weekly Workout Jams

I feel like I spent SO much time putting together playlists for my classes so after a hiatus last week on putting together one for the blog, I’m back! Here’s your 60-minute playlist to get you though this week’s workouts and runs!

And here is the clickable link to Spotify.

This Week’s Dinner Menu

Monday: Tanner says he’s cooking dinner for me tonight since my flight doesn’t get in until 7p 😉

Tuesday: slow cooker salsa chicken over cauliflower rice. My Tuesday is crazy jam-packed and I know this simple dinner that I can throw in the slow cooker ahead of time will be the best option for my sanity!

Wednesday: slow-roasted salmon with fennel, citrus and chiles, I will probably serve this with rice or couscous

Thursday: sweet potato tofu noodle bowl (This is a do-over from last week because it was SO good! I’m going to photograph it so I can share the recipe with you guys!)

Friday: TBD

Saturday: out for a friend’s birthday dinner

Sunday: I’d like to get the grill set up and going for the season and do a grilled dinner. We’ll see what that looks like!

I hope that your Monday is the best start to the week ahead!

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Potato and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

This potato and broccoli cheddar soup is a warm hug in a bowl. It’s a mash up of potato soup meets broccoli cheddar soup, and makes for a creamy, hearty and cheesy bowl that has just enough broccoli in it to make you feel like you’re getting your veggies in for a complete meal. POTATO [...]
