Happy Friday!

I wanted to write this post first thing this morning but a security plugin on my blog somehow flagged me and denied me access to my own site. My email chain with my tech guru Isaac is about 20 deep right now. I seriously don’t know what I would do without him…probably quit blogging! There is SO much to keep up with on the technological and security front. It’s insane!

Let’s kick off this Friday post with a Friday funny. On Thursday I noticed some random brown circles on the walls. I wiped some of them with cleaner and they seemed to come right off but then I looked closer and there were more of them in other places. I took pictures and marked them up and sent them to my dad saying, “HELP! There are random circular spots popping up on some of the walls downstairs. What is this!?” I was terrified that we had a full-on mold infestation. I showed the pictures to Tanner a couple of hours later and he said, “babe…those are from Zoey’s tennis ball when it bounces against the wall.” Oh. Haha. I like that answer a lot better and I need to get to cleaning! And to buy Zoey some new balls that aren’t so dirty.

I have received some fun deliveries lately so I thought I’d write a Friday favorites kind of round up since it’s been many months since I’ve done so.

sfh omega-3 oil

First, SFH is celebrating their seventh anniversary and offered to send me and the pups the new omega-3 line they just launched. The women’s formula has over 3,500 milligrams of EPA+DHA along with Vitamins A, D3, K2, B6, B12 and folic acid in one teaspoon. It’s made from Alaskan pollock, sardines, herring and anchovies and is mercury-free and has no heavy metals or toxins. I’ve started adding it to my morning smoothies. I love the convenient pump bottle.

I have been using the pet version during feeding time once a day. It’s a 50/50 mix of omega-3 oils and MCTs derived from virgin coconut oil. Some of the benefits of these oils for pets are skin and coat health, joint health and mobility, heart health, brain health, eye health, immune support and better respiratory function.

Yay for all of us being a little healthier! 🙂

lotus foods

Over the last year or so I have really come to love rice more than ever before. My favorite way to cook it is with a little coconut oil. When Lotus Foods offered to send me a selection of their rice, rice noodles and rice delights I said, “yes please!” They are launching in stores nationwide. Their rice is organic, heirloom and Fair Trade and grown on family farms with respect for women, water, soils and communities.

Did you know that rice is a food staple in many diets and nourishes over half the people on our planet? What’s more, growing it uses a ton of water and up to one-third of the planet’s annual renewable supply of fresh water is used to irrigate rice. There is an issue with sustainability and water scarcity that Lotus Foods is working to change with a set of practices that allows farmers to double and triple their yields using up to 50% less water and 80-90% less seed. You have got to head over to their website and read their story!

Expect many rice bowl creations to come. I’m excited to support this company.

late july snacks

The good keeps coming. Tanner and I are addicted to Late July’s Organic Chia & Quinoa tortilla chips. We currently have one open bag and two in the pantry. I was Instagramming my love for them and Late July offered to send me a summer surprise. The Jalapeno Lime tortilla chips are amazing. Super, super packed with flavor. I highly recommend anything from Late July. These guys know what they’re doing when it comes to making delicious snacks.

stridebox

And finally, ever since the team at StrideBox featured one of my workouts in one of their boxes, they’ve been sending me a StrideBox every month! Runners, I can’t recommend StrideBox enough if you’re looking to try new products. Each box features things like gels, snacks, electrolyte drinks, fun stickers, recipes, workouts, accessories and more. It’s also a great gift idea for the runner in your life!

Now I am off to hide all of these snacks and goodies so that Tanner doesn’t get to them all before I do. He totally knows the drill of not eating anything before I’ve photographed it (ha, the life of a blogger partner) but once he gets the green light I’m lucky to get more than one bite of things. When I opened the StrideBox yesterday he said, “Ohhh…snacks!” I’m a pretty good snack rationer but him not so much. And this is all coming from the most loving place…we joke about it alllll the time. He knows all of my best hiding places. One time I hid a cake in the dryer…and he found it!

Alright, time to get back to it! I’m heading back to the studio to teach and for teacher training. These two and Arnie don’t love late TT night because they don’t get their dinner until after 9!

Do you give your pets any supplements?

Does your significant other (or kids!) eat the good stuff before you can get to it?

Do you subscribe to any subscription boxes?
