Friday I’m In Love: Folly Edition

Good morning, happy Friday!

From Folly Beach!

dog-friendly folly beach rental

I’m spending a long weekend here with some of my girlfriends as part of a partnership I’m doing with HomeAway. The house we’re staying in is cute, updated and DOG FRIENDLY (!!!!!!) so if you’re looking for a spring getaway, here is the link! I’ll have a full review on the house and the destination in the next week or so.

Fun fact: I lived in Mount Pleasant (right outside of Charleston) the year after I graduated from college. I absolutely adored living in the Charleston-area. It was a very fun year. This is my first time staying on Folly, I usually stay over on the Isle of Palms side of town.

Just a few Friday things for you today and then it’s off to the beach. We got so lucky with the weather and it’s high 70s and sunny.

Sullie is pumped because you know she’s my little swimmer!

And Zoey doesn’t even know what she’s in for. This will be her first time seeing the ocean!

MY FAVORITE EASTER CANDY

reese's and cadbury eggs

It’s so hard to pick between Reese’s Eggs and Cadbury Eggs…I’ve been enjoying both! (And have you seen the Reese’s Eggs in the top left of this picture that are shaped like Cadbury’s? YUM!)

BATHS AND BOOKS

bath and book

Baths are becoming a third trimester favorite. I’ve been loving bath bombs or salts and a book. I usually follow them with some sort of face mask and lounging in bed for a while it sits. Good stuff guys. 🙂

RELATED…tell me your favorite pregnancy/breastfeeding friendly face masks! 🙂

BABY CONVERSE

Baby boy got his first pair of shoes. Are these baby Converse not the cutest things!? Thank you Aunt Dorie!

THE BUMP

29 weeks pregnant bump

I know I mentioned this in my 29 week update but the belly, it’s really really popped now. It came out of nowhere and seems to be bigger every day. Packing was a fun challenge thanks to this!

OmMADE PEANUT BUTTER

ommade peanut butter

The lovely ladies from OmMade Artisanal Peanut Butter sent me a sample pack of their flavored peanut butters and OMG YUM! I have mint magic, chai nirvana, coconut bliss and vibrant turmeric. They are so crazy delicious.

peanut butter and oatmeal

My favorites are the chai nirvana and the coconut bliss. The texture of this peanut butter is also awesome and more of a runny texture versus thick so it’s great for drizzling.

OmMade is a female-owned company and I hope you’ll support them and try their peanut butter! I know you guys will love it.

VACATION SWEETS

non-dairy ben & jerry's

We went to the grocery last night to stock up for the weekend and my friends said, “pregnant Jen is our favorite Jen” as I was adding things to the cart like ice cream, brownie mix and sharing that I also brought girl scout cookies.

Tip: this non-dairy Ben & Jerry’s PB & Cookies flavor is really yummy. I bought it because the flavor sounded good, not because it was dairy-free but it did not disappoint!

Have you visited Folly Beach? Any recommendations?

Life Lately: 8 Years Old, A New Piercing, Trail Training and More

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a very rainy one here in Charlotte and while I am a little bummed not to be spending the weekend in Florida with the fam or by the pool at our swim club (just opened for the season!), I’m also welcoming a slower pace and time at home. It’s been [...]

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]
