And I just ate a giant bowl of frozen yogurt from TCBY for dinner tonight. Oh and a piece of toast when I got home because it just seemed like the right thing to do. Don’t worry, there was an occasion (albeit a bittersweet one) for this.
A big group of Charlotte-area bloggers met up for a frozen yogurt send-off for Emily and her husband Casey. They are moving to DC on Friday.
I am going to miss Emily – especially seeing her at yoga. 🙁 Luckily, I will see her again soon when I’m in DC to run the Marine Corps Marathon (Emily is running it too!) and also in December when she comes down for Thunder Road. We are also all dreaming of a destination relay race someday too!
I know I’ve mentioned this before but we are so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing network of healthy living bloggers here in Charlotte. These women are beautiful, smart and inspirational!
Pre-frozen yogurt dinner I knocked out a six mile run.
All I could think about all day today at work was how much I wanted to run (hooray!). The second I got home I was in my running clothes and out the door. I ran six miles in 53:23 – just at an 8:55ish pace for the run.
All I could think about the whole time was that I was running at my target race pace and how it felt. It felt like it might be a teeny bit challenging to maintain for 26.2 miles but I still have eight weeks of training left. Thank goodness for the tempo and speed work I’ve been doing – it’s really helped me step it up in the speed department!
