A Birthday Boy

Guess who has a birthday on Wednesday!?

Wish my sweet husband a happy birthday! He’s 29…just one more year until the big 3-0! I like to tease him about it. And just for fun, check out my happy birthday post for him last year. It’s a good one! :P Side note, I love that I have had this blog for over a year now. It’s fun to look back and see we were doing!

My morning started with an ashtanga practice, followed by overnight oats at my desk.

Extra delicious overnight oats because they were topped with a fresh peach. I am so happy that it’s peach season! I see peach cobbler happening in the near future.

I taught a yoga for athletes class at Flex + Fit over my lunch break. I popped into Energy Cafe after class to grab lunch.

I enjoy their salads. You can build your own large salad for $6.99 and the toppings are unlimited. Such a great deal. I think I ate a pound of vegetables at lunch!

I taught BodyPump after work with one of my most favorite co-instructors, Andre.

Aren’t we a fun combo? Andre is a personal trainer but a newly certified BodyPump instructor. He’s awesome and appreciates push ups as much as I do. You can be sure that when we’re teaching together, the class is going to work extra hard. We’re pretty much a match made in BodyPump heaven. ;)

Class was great tonight! We had over 40 members. Love their energy.

Dinner tonight was Incredulada Enchiladas because I was making a batch of them for a co-worker who just had a baby.

It was just easier to make a double batch and have them for our dinner tonight. I’ll be taking them over to my co-worker tomorrow along with a salad and peanut butter chocolate chip bars! Can’t wait to see her little one.

And one last thing…thank you for the iPhone app recommendations. I can’t wait to check them out!!!

With that, I’m off to bed. I’m getting up early to run and then making Brandon a birthday breakfast. :D

I wish I could take one of your BodyPump classes! I’m getting so much better at planks!

bodypump will definitely improve your plank ability since they always seem to add some ridiculous new variation of them to the ab track! ;)

I just recently discovered your blog! I am also a runner and coach with Team in Training in Mobile, AL for marathons. Instead of having a running blog I have a blog featuring all things sweet, especially cakes! So if you are ever in need of a sugar fix you can stop on by. I’ve made several recipes with peanut butter too, and I must say it is one of my favorite energy sources as a runner as well, it’s always peanut butter and toast for me before long runs! Can’t wait to look around your site some more!

The enchiladas look so good! I’m bringing a new mom dinner this weekend, maybe I’ll make these! (nice to have something different than the usual lasagna). Question – did you cook them all the way through, and then refrigerate them for the family you’re bringing them to, or leave the last cooking step for them to do?
