20 Minutes of 5 Minute AMRAPs {Workout Post}

by Jen on June 19, 2013

Hey there. I don’t have much to report from today other than…

1) My AC unit is on it’s way out but all hope is not yet lost so for now we wait. Best case scenario I pay $400 for a motor in several months…worst case scenario I replace the whole thing but we’re not focusing on that scenario!

2) I had an amazing yoga practice tonight. My body was perfectly open and accepting of the practice and I loved the energy in the room – some of my most favorite people were there practicing. I can’t tell you how much the energy in the room impacts my practice. It’s honestly kind of unbelievable. Nothing but GOOD tonight!

3) I have another AMRAP workout to share!

4 5 minute AMRAP Workout

I received excellent feedback on my 7-Minute AMRAP workout so I couldn’t wait to share this 20 minutes of AMRAPs workout with you. It’s four different five minute AMRAPs that combined provide an awesome full body cardio strength workout.

Let me know what you think if you try it! As always, shout with questions. Enjoy! :)

Don’t u see a chiro? They can adjust your upper cervical spine that causes pain to radiate from base of skull to head and behind eye

Such a bummer on the lingering headache–I know that they really are the worst! I hope it stops today for you. These AMRAPs look like a good weekend workout!

Just curious, does Metro offer an open gym for doing these workouts on your own?

well, our main gym on selwyn is open all day every day and you can come in and do whatever workouts you want whenever you want. our crossfit gym on 4th street has open gym hours from noon-2 p.m. every day for our members. otherwise, it’s all classes.

I’m doing this workout at home and don’t have wall balls. Is there something I could substitute?

do you have any type of ball that you could squat and toss? if not i would just substitute dumbbell squat to press overhead or air squats.

I just recently stumbled onto your blog!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! I am training for my very first full marathon and love crossfit. With 2 children I can’t afford to tie up the extra money into crossfit classes so I have been doing the crossfit workouts in my local gym early in the mornings! I have lost 140lbs and have toned up so much due to these types of workouts! Keep up the great work..and you have a new follower! :)
