It’s been a really good Sunday. I spent over six hours in various yoga studios. I taught four classes and over 115 yogis over the course of the day and felt so inspired to practice myself at the end of it all that I took a class tonight!
I started my day with a 6:15 wake up call to head over to Y2 to sub the 7:30 hot vinyasa and then I taught my normal 9:15 hot class.
I was starving when I arrived home and couldn’t decide whether I wanted brunch or lunch. I decided to go with brunch and made an omelet with sautéed spinach, sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese. A maple oatmeal scone and pear slices on the side.
I was scheduled to sub two yoga classes at the Dowd Y this afternoon. I’m not on the regular schedule there but I love to fill in when they need help.
Imagine my surprise when I arrived to teach the 3 p.m. and found the room totally slammed. We had to turn people away! I had 45 yogis in class. Incredible! I taught one last class at 4:15 and then booked it out of there to make Joey’s 5:45 “Kick Your Asana” at Charlotte Yoga. I love Joey. He started class by sitting us down and sharing the most amazing message and then put us in child’s pose and blasted Prince. Amazing. Class was wonderful and ended with me passing out COLD in double pigeon.
The second I put my head down, I began to doze off. What can I say? I love hip openers. Actually, I think I may have slept through some of the final poses. I can’t be sure. I just remember Joey telling us to make our way into savasana. I’m not sure if anything else happened after our pigeons. Oh well, it was so what I needed.
