It’s been a yoga-rific week. Over the past three days I have taught ELEVEN classes/privates. While I love yoga with all my heart, I do not even want to say the words “inhale upward facing dog, exhale downward facing dog” right now. And I’ve only been able to personally practice one day this week and that makes me sad. Maintaining my personal practice is important to me and helps me be a better and more connected teacher.
But…whine over…I can legitimately say that I am thankful for every single class and for every single student that I’ve had the privilege to teach this week.
I made overnight oats to eat after my first private client this morning. Apples, bananas, oats, plain Greek yogurt, milk, dried cranberries, cinnamon and chia seeds and topped with apple butter and Justin’s Maple Almond Butter. Love this breakfast.
Ummmm…I ate at Energy Cafe again today. It’s becoming a problem. It’s just such a good deal and so delicious and convenient when I have a 30 minute break between class and my yoga private client. It’s nice to take a break and catch up on email and blog reading on my iPhone. Today I had broccoli cheese soup, build your own salad and unsweet peach black tea.
It was 70 degrees here today. We have had the mildest winter and I love it. I have said about a million times how much I hate being cold so this is the winter of my dreams!
I finished with teaching yoga for the day at 3 and made a beeline home to squeeze a run in before teaching BodyPump. I covered a little over four miles and the first two were with Sullie. It was perfect and felt so good.
BodyPump was so hard tonight. We taught the new release again and it is challenging. I was shaking during the hovers in the ab track at the end of class. I am going to post a review on BP 80 in the next couple of days!
When in doubt, roast veggies for dinner. Oven at 400 and lots of olive oil, kosher salt and pepper. The kale and carrots were from the farmer’s market and I also added in a yukon gold potato. I dipped the kale chips and potatoes in lots of ketchup.
I am DONE for the day. Tomorrow is pretty manageable and I have some major organizational goals for the weekend. I am determined to get caught up 100% on email and I am going to tackle some work around the house that I’ve been putting off forever. Does anyone else have any home/life organizational tasks that you want to knock out this weekend?
Enjoy your Friday!
