Loved all of you suggestions for ice cream toppings. Especially loved how many of you suggested peanut butter-based toppings. You know me too well!
Today was one of those days that required a run. A long, fast, sweaty one.
Y’all know I have been off the running train lately but running is still the thing I turn to when I need to feel that “release.” While the 62 day yoga challenge has been amazing, I needed to be on the road today and not on my mat.
I set out with a motivating playlist and no set distance goal in mind. I just wanted to run until I felt better. 6.6 miles later, that was accomplished. I think I averaged an 8:20ish pace and it felt effortless. I needed to be running.
It’s fun to share playlists so here are the songs that pushed me through my run tonight. I mean, how can you run slowly with this mix?
Is running therapeutic for you?
And a quick look at today’s eats.
Breakfast before teaching the 9:15 hot vinyasa at Y2 was apple cinnamon oatmeal topped with apple butter and almond butter.
Brandon and I grabbed lunch at Crisp and I had a build your own salad with spinach, mixed greens, blue cheese, walnuts, dried cranberries, hardboiled eggs, pears and chickpeas. Honey dijon vinaigrette on the side.
After lunch we walked over to Sunflour Bakery and ordered a magic bar to split. It was huge! We cut this into fourths and brought the leftovers home for dessert tonight. So good.
And finally, post-run dinner was leftover butternut + bean chili (do you want me to post the recipe – it’s super good?) topped with greek yogurt, shredded cheddar and avocado and a slice of beer bread.
