March is National Nutrition Month and I have a round-up style post featuring some products that will help you create tasty meals and snacks at home! Fun fact: they’re all plant-based!

national nutrition month

Here’s an overview of today’s featured products:

Some of these products I was already familiar with and a fan of but I also got to discover some new favorites!

COCONUT SECRET ORGANIC COCONUT AMINOS

My fridge is never without Coconut Aminos and Coconut Secret is my favorite brand! I use Coconut Aminos as a replacement for soy sauce mainly because they contain 72% LESS SODIUM (seriously!) than soy sauce. They’re also soy-free and gluten-free and have no added sugar. I like the taste of them a lot – slightly sweet and savory with Unami flavor.

coconut aminos

Ever since I started using coconut aminos as a replacement for soy sauce, I began to notice that I could enjoy sushi and not feel parched or puffy after eating it. Coconut Secret was the first to bring Coconut Aminos to the to the market. They’re made from coconut blossom sap that’s blended with sea salt. You can use them as a 1:1 replacement for soy sauce and they work perfectly in dishes like stir-fry, marinades, dips, etc.

MIGHTY SESAME HARISSA TAHINI

Tahini is another item that you can always find in my fridge but this was my first time trying squeezable and flavored tahini!

Mighty Sesame Harissa Tahini

Mighty Sesame Harissa Tahini includes a blend of natural harissa spices that give the tahini a roasted-chili pepper flavor. Each serving has 7 grams of protein and 260 milligrams of calcium. It’s vegan gluten-free and dairy-free.

This tahini is spicy, creamy and a great way to give a kick to so many dishes. I have been enjoying this Harissa Tahini squeezed directly onto roasted vegetables and grain bowls and also whisked together with plain Greek yogurt for a creamy sauce.

I absolutely love the convenience of the squeeze bottle. No stirring – just shake and squeeze. The texture is more sauce-like and very easy to get out of the bottle. Mighty Sesame Tahini is also shelf-stable!

MINUTE MICROWAVEABLE RICE CUPS

These rice cups are the best for days that I want to add grains to a meal but don’t want to wait 25 minutes for them to cook. I find that they come in especially handy at lunch.

minute brown rice & quinoa microwaveable bowls

I love the Minute Brown Rice & Quinoa microwaveable rice cups as a fast and easy way to add grains to my lunch salad bowls. In just one minute I have a delicious mix of red quinoa and brown rice. Pro tip: I love to add a tablespoon or two of chicken bone broth to the cup before microwaving and then finish it off with a crank of sea salt and a squeeze of lemon juice once it’s cooked.

Y’all know I also love white rice so the Minute Basmati microwaveable rice cups are great too. They make for the perfect base for my dinner bowl creations. Finn loves rice too so when he’s yelling, “mommy, where’s my dinner!?” this is a great side dish I can get on the table quickly!

NUTIVA ORGANIC CLASSIC HAZELNUT SPREAD

Welcome to my new favorite dessert. OMG, this hazelnut spread with cocoa is like the best blend of chocolate frosting and brownie batter. I can eat it by the spoonful or spread it on toast with a sprinkle of sea salt.

nutvia organic classic hazelnut spread

The best part? Nutiva Organic Classic Hazelnut Spread features 40% less sugar than the leading brand!!! It’s certified organic, non-GMO and vegan! 10/10 recommend. Must try.

RECIPE 33 INFUSED ALMONDS

If you love flavored almonds but not artificial ingredients or the messy seasoning that gets all over your hands, listen up!

RECIPE 33 almonds

RECIPE 33 developed a proprietary process to take real ingredients and infuse the flavor into each almond without artificial additives or flavors.

They’re available in five delicious flavors:

  • Black Truffle
  • Smoky Serrano
  • Garlic Dill
  • Lemon Rosemary
  • Cinnamon Vanilla

I’ve been keeping a bag of RECIPE 33 infused almonds in my car for on-the-go snacking. They’re also good for dressing up salads, adding to snack plates or charcuterie boards or sprinkling on top of oatmeal or yogurt bowls.

You can save $2 on any 4-ounce bags with code TryRECIPE33. Shop here.
