This is the season of babies and I love it. Several of my best friends are expecting or just delivered and I couldn’t be happier for them. It’s such an exciting time and there’s lots of baby holding in my future! I have mentioned that I’m personal training one of my friends who is due in September and I had the honor of co-hosting a baby shower for her last weekend.
Here are some of the fun details!
My friend is expecting a little girl so one of the hostesses had the ides to do this cute pink nail polish as a favor.
I contributed two dishes to the shower. First was a veggie tray with two different dips. One was a homemade creamy herb dip and the other was hummus. I served them in hollowed out peppers.
And the mom-to-be’s request, my berry balsamic fruit salad.
We also had an orzo lemon chicken salad and beautiful flower arrangements.
To drink we had a green punch with sherbet, pineapple juice and sprite and for those of us not expecting…a splash of prosecco.
After we ate it was time for gifts and my favorite gift was the track suit so that baby can workout with mom.
Dessert was homemade carrot cake.
And mini chocolate cupcakes.
And finally, all of the hostesses with the mom-to-be. It is such an honor to be a part of these special times. I can’t wait to meet this sweet baby! 🙂
