4:50 a.m. – wake up 5 minutes before my alarm is set to go off. I love this. I feel a million times better when I wake up naturally.
5 a.m. – get out of bed and let Zoey out of her crate. We cuddle and hang out while I make some tea. Sullie is like, “I’ll just stay in bed but thanks mom.”
5:30 a.m. – train clients at Metro. I train three of my girlfriends every Monday at 5:30 a.m. and it’s a fun way to start the week. They work so hard so I get to be super creative and tough with my workouts. Today we did a little field trip for some intense hill repeats and then did a stability ball/dumbbell circuit that I will post here soon.
6:45 a.m. – home. I could ether get my blog done or walk the girls. I decided an early morning walk was just what I needed to kick off my week. I listened to a Podcast and we walked a little over two miles. It was so nice to be outside with the sunrise.
7:30 a.m. – home from walk and make a green smoothie. Today’s mix was frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, frozen figs, plain greek yogurt, cashew milk, peanut butter, spinach and Premier Protein Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder. Topped with my favorite Peanut Butter Chia Seed Granola.
8:15 a.m. – teach hot yoga at Y2
10 a.m. – after I’ve cleaned up and showered I hit the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner and the week.
10:30 a.m. – home and camp out in front of computer working on things for the studio for two hours. Lots of back-end stuff for our website and client management software.
12:30 p.m. – lunch! Starving.
I made a wrap with dijon, honey, deli chicken, avocado, spinach, mushrooms and a mix of cheddar and horseradish cheddar. Grapes on the side and dipped the wrap in a honey mustard greek yogurt mix. Check out my wrap tutorial in this post. I snacked on Pop Chips while I made this and had a dark chocolate peanut butter cup from Trader Joe’s after.
1 p.m. – more computer work for studio, laundry, clean house, prep dinner
Zoey will not leave my side whenever I’m working from home. Love this girl.
3 p.m. – back to the studio for weekly management team meeting.
4:20 p.m. – take a hot class from a teacher who is teaching her last class at the studio after 4.5 years and I cry tears. We did teacher training together back in the day.
6 p.m. – work on the computer for the studio at the studio after showering after practice. I worked on updating our cafe menus.
7:15 p.m. – teach my last class of the day at the studio. I love helping people start their weeks on a positive note!
8:45 p.m. – get home from class to the smell of Chicken Tikka Masala cooking in the crock pot. I have deemed Mondays all about the crock pot because it’s such a long day for me. It’s so amazing to come home from such a long day and have dinner ready. I put a pot of rice on to cook while I shower and wind down.
9:15 p.m. – sit down to eat. Dinner is so amazing and I will be sharing all of my crock pot Monday recipes with y’all!
9:30 – start blogging while my fiance cleans kitchen (and as always…delivers me chocolate). In an ideal world I get the blog stuff done during the day but there is so much to be done for my role at the studio as marketing director that blogging has been pushed to evenings lately. I’d rather be relaxing and disconnecting from technology but all of that will come soon.
10:30 p.m. – publish blog post and watch episodes of Madame Secretary.
11 p.m. – bed to read and get ready for tomorrow!
Mondays are the longest day of the week for me but I don’t mind it now that I’ve totally reworked my schedule. I owe you guys a post on my new schedule and how I reprioritized to sleep more, work less and save my sanity. While finding “balance” is a complete constant work in progress, I love what I have going right now.
How do you start your Mondays?
Do you crock pot often?
