2023 Christmas Crushers – 10th Anniversary!

Merry Christmas friends! I’m popping in quickly to share your 2023 Christmas Crusher Workouts. It’s hard to believe but this is the 10th anniversary of these holiday themed workouts! The Christmas Crusher tradition started back in 2014 when I created a holiday-themed workout for my personal training clients. We had so much fun with it that I have been programming annual Christmas Crushers ever since! I have always shared these workouts on my blog and social media and they’ve become something that many of you guys look forward to as well!

I created two separate Christmas Crushers this year. One is running and bodyweight focused and the other is a dumbbell strength workout.

RUN RUN RUDOLPH BODYWEIGHT WORKOUT

run run Rudolph bodyweight workout

This workout combines bodyweight exercises and running intervals for a workout that can be done wherever your holiday travels may take you! The running intervals can be done on a treadmill or out on the road. You could always just set a 2 or 3 minute timer and run for that interval. You could also do a hill here!

  • 5 burpee + strict push ups
  • 10 jump lunges (each leg so right + left = one rep)
  • 15 sit ups option to add rotation
  • 20 mountain climbers
  • 25 pop squats
  • 400 meter or 0.25 mile run

At the end of this workout you’ll have done 100 squats and run a mile. Yay! If you wanted to up the running you could always run a mile to warm up and a mile to cool down.

Here’s a video with movement demonstrations!

2023 CHRISTMAS CRUSHER – DUMBBELL VERSION

dumbbell workout

Here is a dumbbell Christmas Crusher that you can do with just one set of dumbbells and a small space to work in. What makes this one challenging is that you’re doing two rounds of each movement before moving on to the next. The work interval is 45 seconds on and 15 seconds rest. So you would do dumbbell ground to overheads for 45 seconds, rest for 15, dumbbell ground to overhead for 45 seconds, rest for 15 and then move on to the renegade row.

You can work through all of this for one complete round or start at the top for a second go!

These are the movement demos for this one!

Moab Run The Rocks Race Recap (3 Day Stage Race)

I cannot believe it’s been nearly a month since I completed Moab Run The Rocks! It’s a three-day stage race in Moab, Utah that’s put on by the same race organization, TransRockies Rockies Race Series, that I did my six-day Colorado race with back in August. TransRockies truly excels when it comes to planning and [...]

I recently spent four nights in Moab, Utah for a three-day stage trail race called Moab Run The Rocks.
