Holy half marathon commitment! We are at 140 strong and the emails keep rolling in about training together for a fall half. THANK YOU! I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to connect with all of you and to share this experience. It’s going to be amazing!
I especially love the huge variety of life stages and running experience from those who have committed. I encourage you to take the plunge if you’re on the fence. I GUARANTEE that there is someone else committed who is exactly where you are!
Today passed in a whirlwind of thinking I would get so much done but having to accept that I only got about 25% of it actually done…and never even fit in a workout! I remain amazed about how that happens. The day started strong with a breakfast of two eggs scrambled in Kerrygold along with avocado, tomatoes and fresh fruit.
I got sucked into a vortex of spreadsheet creating of everyone who wants to join the online training program. I have read every single one of your emails. Please be patient with me on responses. Know that I do have you registered.
I broke at noon to meet our Alo rep at the studio for lunch, reviewing the Spring 2017 line and ordering for fall and holiday. We went for two hours but I am so obsessed with their lines. They have really cool and trendy activewear and I know it’s going to sell so well with our clients.
I arrived home to find that Zoey had eaten about…oh three days of Bear’s food (the golden we are dog sitting). How she even got to the bag is beyond us. She is a food ninja. The best part is that she didn’t even blink an eye about her full belly and was still begging for dinner. Zoey is so food motivated but she’s also so skinny and little. It’s crazy!
Bear, on the other hand, is a complete angel and every day that he’s with us his personality comes out more and more.
I taught yoga at 6p and then came home to make this dinner. I planned on making this Thai-style halibut but the fish pickings at the grocery were slim today so I came home with a beautiful piece of wild caught salmon instead. I decided to switch gears and make my favorite sriracha lime salmon recipe. Believe it or not, it comes from Gwyneth Paltrow. I’ve been making it for about two years now and tonight I decided that it’s my favorite salmon recipe…ever! Note: I doubled the sauce and seasoned the salmon with sea salt, garlic powder and Dizzy Pig Tsunami Spin.
I served it with glazed Chinese long beans and leftover couscous. We loved this dinner. It was our first time trying Chinese long beans and they were so good!
I’m totally sucked into Parenthood so I’m off to watch it until bed.
Hope y’all had a happy Wednesday! xx
