I’m partnering with Castor & Pollux to bring you today’s post.

Prepare yourselves. I have another sentimental dog mom post coming at you today.

Golden Retriever

I find that I am constantly learning life lessons learning from my girls and last week was no different. As part of my partnership with ORGANIX, I was to take the girls out on an all-expenses-paid adventure. While that sounded really fun in theory, it rained last week before my trip to Tampa and then I was gone for four days and came home to more rain. And now it’s freezing. I have been stressing for two weeks about pulling off this adventure.

Finding Joy Every Day

I don’t know about you guys but I get mom guilt something fierce when I don’t get my girls out of the house for a change of scenery or exercise on most days. I was sitting at my computer working last Thursday when I realized that I could either a) take the girls to the park to throw the ball or b) get a treadmill run in before subbing at the Y. While I was bummed to miss my run, I just couldn’t say no to these faces.

Finding Joy in the Small Stuff

I loaded them up in the car and we headed over to the park to throw the ball. The girls were so freaking excited to be in the car and bolted out when we arrived at the park. As I watched Zoey’s ridiculous over the top enthusiasm for chasing after her ball and saw Sullie running and doing her signature “dive and roll and dance upside down,” I realized THIS is our adventure.

In that moment, watching them run free and play, I realized that all of the emotional/work/holiday stress that I was feeling had melted away and my heart was overflowing with joy. I think I laughed and smiled more in the 30 minutes we spent at the park than I did all week.

My girls look at every day like it’s a new adventure.

Dog Car Ride

Car rides. Best day ever.

Dog Walking

Going on a walk? Always something new to smell and see.

Golden Retrievers Swimming

Water…let’s swim!

Dilworth Dog Grooming

Even a trip to the dog groomer is exciting stuff.

I continue to remain amazed by how much joy dogs can bring to daily life. I am so grateful for all the lessons that my pups teach me and for all of the smiles, laughs and comfort that they bring.

My commitment in return is to take the best care of them that I can so that they can continue to make every day of their puppy lives a great adventure. This is why I prioritize exercise and diet for my pups as much as for myself.

Learning lessons from my dogs about finding joy in the everyday small moments along with a review of ORGANIX organic dog food.

We’ve been feeding our crew ORGANIX by Castor & Pollux Natural PetWorks for about six weeks now and everyone seems super happy with the food from both a digestion and energy standpoint. If you missed my first post about ORGANIX, be sure to read about all of the great benefits of this food. It’s an organically-certified food that provides complete and balanced nutrition. It’s available in a variety of kibble and canned recipes and they also offer grain-free options. ORGANIX is packed with protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals along with omega 3 fatty acids for skin and coat. I’m really happy to be feeding my pups such a high-quality food! 🙂

If you’d like to check it out ORGANIX for yourself, visit the ORGANIX site where you’ll find a store locator. If online shopping is more your style, check out their shop online search menu.

Do you prioritize diet and exercise for your dogs? I’d also love to hear about your pup’s most favorite “everyday adventure!”

Make sure to stay connected with Organix® by following them on FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
