Friday Faves…Jewelry, Things to Read, Contests, Walks and More!

Hello and happiest of Fridays!

It’s been quite a while since I participated in a “Friday Favorites” type of post and I have many to share today. Get ready.

I made a long overdue stop to visit Erin of Erin McDermott Jewelry last week. I was eying these purple beads with a green stone.

But ended up going with one of her new Beach Cabana Stackable Necklaces instead. I got the white color and I can’t wait to add on!

I had so much fun looking through her new “Little Girls” collection. Erin is now designing fun and fashionable jewelry for girls. The best feature is that the beads are softer and made with stretchy cord that can be slid on and not clasped.

In honor of Celiac Awareness Month, I received a sampling of gluten-free goodies from Clif Bar and LUNA. Clif has increased their gluten-free options and LUNA has gone completely gluten-free…and these flavors are all amazing.

The arrival of summer and daylight until almost 9 p.m. means that I’ve resumed nightly walks with the pups. It’s one of my favorite things ever. We’ve been walking for 30-45 minutes almost every night.

I often chat with my parents or my grandmother while we walk but when they’re not available I listen to audiobooks. I also listen to audiobooks while I run and in the car. Lately I have been digging Creative Confidence by Tom and David Kelley. The book is about discovering your creativity (even if you’re not the “creative type”) and learning skills and techniques for being more innovative and successful in your work and personal life. It’s given me a lot of great things to think about.

Side note: tell me I’m not the only crazy that listens to Audible at 1.25x speed. 🙂

Other things I’ve enjoyed reading lately…

Happy Friday, Jen! Yay for nice long walks. I don’t have any pets right now, but my hubs and I are thinking of getting a little dog, which means more walks for me. And yes to the CLIF bars, I like the Kit’s ones the best, and received that same lovely care package. Loving all those necklaces too! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be teaching at Orangetheory much of the day tomorrow, then maybe a little dinner date in the evening. 🙂

That’s so exciting!! Having a puppy will definitely change your routine a little bit, but it’s so much fun!

I have been taking Lucy on nightly walks as well and I LOVE them. The days that I am done around 4:00 PM I love to come home…put my phone down…and just walk. It is so relaxing and the perfect way to unwind.

Love all of the articles you mentioned! And Erin McDermott jewelry is always so gorgeous – I need to buy something from her!

I put my Erin McDermott “be present” necklace on my Friday Faves this week too. And incidentally, there is absolutely no way that I would know about her and her beautiful creations if not for your blog. So thank you for bringing her to light! And I’m looking forward to checking out that podcast. Hope you’re having a great weekend 🙂
